Is the long wait a good sign or a bad sign?

I have lost faith in them because I don't believe they still have the drive in their mind to make the kind of music that I enjoy. Does that mean that I think the band sucks? no. But you cannot blame me for being mad at the band. They were my favorite band, but I just don't think their plans for the future fit what I wish for. So I have completely lost faith in this new cd. I apologize. Then again, who know? maybe i am just doing this subconsciously so I won't be disapointed come release time. I don't know. I just know that I truly have almost no drive to hear their new cd. I really just wish they called it quits after Mike left, but let's not get into that...

Exactly. Its just a plus when the music they make appeals to other people.

See, I agree with that but I also don't. I mean yes...they're probably not going to put out something they detest. But they also are going to put out something that people like and sells. If not, they don't make money.

Unfortunately, their music now appeals to a huge crowd of semi-fans, who like the single, buy the album, then get sick of it. Sure, they can fill stadiums, but they're missing the hardcore fans (that would be us). They're getting a lot more fans with their new "style", but these fans are fleeting.

I don't think the band's doing it intentionally, though. They're making music that they want to make (whether because the like it or it's easier, or whatever), and they think "their fans" love it. That's because their view of "their fans" is through the shows they play. However, it's impossible for them to tell that those are just the teenie bopper fans of the fickle sort, who will so lose interest.

Yeah you'd probably get a really distorted idea of who your fans are and who aren't after being rockstars.

Hey, I just thought of something. Is it possible the Wal-Mart sign could be referring to a single?

You can be a rock star and still know who your real fans are. Bands that forget are always the ones who think too highly of themselves.

They still put their pants on like everyone else.

I was thinking of Sloan, myself.

Chris Murphy told me on Saturday that he thinks Steve is way cuter than Mike.

Once again everyone, I am not saying that the band is bad now. If they create music that people enjoy, they're not a bad band. However, you cannot blame me for losing faith in the band on my own. My faith in them creating a cd that I enjoy is gone. You cannot blame me for saying this. I've heard gravity, i've heard everything you guys have heard, and it does not appeal to me much. So, do not blame me for losing faith in them for myself.

OK, I try to keep my mouth shut when this topic comes up, but...

This is an internet message board, meaning no one can be happy and us faceless fools have to whine about every single thing. Duh.

Here's the solution to the thread. No, the album is not coming out in June, seeing as it's May 26 and all. End of discussion. I win. I want my fucking cookie.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.
