Naveed

Post by I AM ME »

Lets start a Discussion about Naveed (the album).

What are the highlights? the low points? Everyone share.
"How can we justify spending so much on destruction and so little on life?" Matthew Good

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911

"Pray for the sheep" Matt Good
"But it's alright, take the world and make it yours again" Matt Good

I felt it in the wind, and i saw it in the sky, i thought it was the end, i thought it was the 4th of July.

"Hold on, hold on children, your mother and father are leaving, hold on, hold on children your best freind's parents are leaving, leaving,.......*AHHH*! " - Death From Above - Black History Month

Highlights: Julia, Is It Safe?, Under Zenith...
Low-lights: Supersatellite. Though I am starting to like this one more as I listen to it.
I just wanna get out,
Stuck inside of this.
Waiting for something else,

"Naveed" is my favorite song, without any shadow of a doubt. It's my favorite song by anyone, in any era, forever.

i must agree with Waiting to Exist, Supersattlite is my least favorite song, not because it's a bad song but it's just not as strong as the rest of the album.

Oh yeah Under Zenith is pretty sweet too

Under Zenith is the best song on the album because it sounds kinda freaky but cool with the bass and guitar.

Other good songs are Starseed Is It Safe? and Supersattelite is pretty good too

Hope isnt a song I can just listen to at any time. It reminds me too much of early 90's and bad mullets.

The birdman is my fav.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

highlights: the birdman, naveed, denied, julia and under zenith. wow... those songs are just amazing, especially denied. i remember when i was in grade 5, upon learning about olp, i would listen to denied again and again while i would play jet moto on my playstation. lol

lowlights: supersatillite, hope, and dirty walls... but not because they are bad songs, just cuz i like the others a hell of a lot more.

Starseed is one of the only songs that can get me pumped up any time I listen to it.

I kind of wish I had been my age now back in the mid 90's, because I'm sure Denied would be frigging awesome live.

I don't think I'd ever be able to spell the word "satellite" if it wasn't for Supersatellite.

my least favourite songs on the album would be supersatellite and under zenith, but the whole album rocks, and as my name indicates, NEON CROSSING is my all time favourite OLP song....Starseed, Naveed, Julia, and Birdman are my other top picks on the album
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

sure did.

i don't even like this band anymore. isn't that terrible?

it's not even because of gravity either. it's because their live shows are so pathetic now.

but BACK ON TOPIC man i love Naveed that was a great CD

My favorites are Birdman, Supersatellite, Starseed, Hope, Naveed, Dirty Walls, Denied, Is it safe?, Julia, Under Zenith, and Neon Crossing.

The other songs on the album just plain suck. Worse than Gravity.
