WTF???

Post by I AM ME »

What the hell is up with the update? They could have updated that months ago, it's not new and it's not intresting. Why did they bother?
"How can we justify spending so much on destruction and so little on life?" Matthew Good

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911

"Pray for the sheep" Matt Good
"But it's alright, take the world and make it yours again" Matt Good

I felt it in the wind, and i saw it in the sky, i thought it was the end, i thought it was the 4th of July.

nah........I'm not concerned. I still have high hopes for August, but either way I honestly don't care.

When I click the big Raine-in-the-audience picture at olp.com, where it says, "Enter site" or whatever, it just pops up a giant window entirely black except for, in the middle, "OUR LADY PEACE" in Gravity-style text. How do I get to news?
I just wanna get out,
Stuck inside of this.
Waiting for something else,

Just close that piece of shit useless window, and there's another window that actually has the site on it.

I must say I hate the design of OLP's current website. Seriously why cant they find someone who will really spend the time on creating a great band site. I'm sure there are people out there who could create a far better site as well as updating the site far more, and who would do it all for far less money than what Sony or OLP is probably paying for the site.

I don't like the design of it myself, but as far as updating, what is their to update? "This just in, Raine took a 5 minute piss at a restaurant yesterday while Chantal dumped the baby in a trash can and ran off with Avril."? Have you ever emailed Tanya and given her suggestions as to what she should do to better the site? People like her and Stace would love to have some feedback on what you all want to see on the websites. I guarantee website design over at Sony is not a high paying job. Look at Columbia's web site. Half the links don't work. None of us on here could build a better site with the exception of Al maybe. Give those girls a break, they don't have much to work with right now. Like I said, if you have ideas or suggestions, send them an email. They actually read them.

Hmm I wasnt aware I could do that. As far as I knew, they just had someone design the site and then they leave it up to a Sony employee to update it. Thats how most band sites work. My bad. I think I will suggest a few things....

I think the update might actually be so it doesn't say "The band is all over the US touring right now, try to catch a show, blah blah blah" anymore... considering that was a complete and total lie.

Just to clear some fun stuff up :)

Neither Tanya or I (as in the Tanya and Stacy you see credited with photography on .com and .net) have anything to do with .com other than providing them live photography at the moment.

.com has a feedback link if you would like to send them suggestions.

.net is more than happy to accept any and all suggestions. In fact the whole team is hard as work behind the scenes trying ot figure out what we'd like to do for the new album. Feedback can be sent to myself at Stace@ourladypeace.net or suggestions@ourladypeace.net

If you're haivng a problem with the popups at .com try this link:

http://ourladypeace.com/index2.html

It wont display the same way, but you should be able to get in and see the site that way.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

*bows to the awesomness that is Stace*
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.
