that's it, I'm cheating on this essay: I'm lumping arguements from two books into one so that I can mostly quote the one I took notes on and try to slip by my teacher the fact that I don't know what I'm talking about. :freak:

Don't cheat...you shall get caught I promise!

Ah you just check the thing on there that makes it so it doesn't automatically log you in.

I don't know, either elementary education, or history. I can't decide if it would be cool to teach a subject I like to a bunch of rebellious little pre teens or teenagers, or have a whole bunch of younger kids all day. It's a tough one.

I work for the online department at the university I go to. Or went to

no, but my log in thing would still be there.

well if you can see yourself teaching high school then do it. i know i could never teach highschool. i don't ever want to teach higher than grade 6. i just spent the pass few months student teaching in a grade one class. it was the greatest and most stressful thing ever. but it was a good kind of stress and i loved it. you have to really love it or else it'll be harder to do.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of, that I'll get into it and then realize I hate it. But there are alot of upsides to being a teacher. Like here if you teach for quite a few years you get really good retirement and awesome health benefits. Summers off, for when I have kids.

if those are the only reasons you want to go into it, don't. i suggest you volunteer in some schools and see if you like it first.

and technically you don't really get your summers off. there are so many courses you always have to take during the summer and you can get screwed a little on your retirement when you take your maternity leave.

sorry didn’t mean to turn you off from it, there are so many perks to being a teacher. it really is a great profession. I wouldn’t be going into it if it wasn't.

1016 words. Hope to finish in an hour. I've mooshed and fudged things around so that I don't have to quote one book to make sense and support my point, but my essay now sports a 522 word paragraph as a result. :freak:

oh GOD I hope my teacher likes me.

I realize that it's by no means perfect. And there are alot of things stopping me from doing it. I have worked in the schools when I was in school, so I do know what's involved.

yeah i know, you're just keeping it as an option. i'm still not 100% on it either. but if i decide this isn't what i want to do, i'm basically screwed. there's very few other things i can do with my degree.

You're on the cm.

It takes about that here too. But if that isn't what you want to do, couldn't you change?

no i can't, cause mine's a specific program, everything i'm learning and all my classes have to do with this profession and working with kids so i couldn’t just switch into another profession. it’s not like normal universities.

what other majors have you been thinking about?
Henrietta

Post by Henrietta »

 All of them. Man I've thought about all the health fields, computer related fields. Right now I'm working on a computer and bored brainless so I don't think that's for me, even though my dad wants me to do that. Too many peoples' opinions play a role. Must...ignore...
