Yellowcard

Post by Joey »

If you haven't yet discovered the awesomeness of this band, you are missing out. I have fallen deeply in love  and it's oh so sweet.

Try:

(older)

Avondale
Powder
Finish Line
Rough Draft
For Pete's Sake

(newer)

Breathing
Miles Apart
Only One
Back Home

I can go on ..

It's all about the violin .. the glory of the violin

I bought Ocean Avenue a few weeks ago.

Haven't listened to it much. Its too happy. When I get in the mood I'll like it. Right now I'm in a RHCP/Incubus thing.

Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

I'm really loving The Underdog EP .. it's their older one, only 5 songs on it but they're amazing songs  I got my friend hooked on the song Powder. Their other older one 'One For the Kids' is pretty good too.

I still need to get 'Where We Stand' .. it's from 1999 but they reissued it in march of 2004 .. it's before Ryan joined the band though so it's a different singer.

I prefer Ryan. I really don't think they sound that much alike though. There's def a big screaming singing on this album too. doesn't really sound like the rest too much. at least to me it doesn't.

My point: Yellowcard annoys me. I liked "Ocean Avenue" off the first listen, but then the song started to annoy me. I did take a partial listen to the album though, and I didn't like it.

Maybe its just the genre.....I'm very partial.

I like October Nights.

I like all of it I wanted to see them so bad a while back. Ah, but I can still catch them on Warped Tour.

I love the electric violin, it's way too cool.
