Favorite Drum Part

Post by Tattooed Angels »

Okay there are several threads on favorite guitar part and favorite vocal but none on Drums so here it is.

Since I made a thread for bass we have to do drums also.

My favorite drum parts: Julia(obviously), Stealing Babies, Clumsy, Life and Whatever( if you saw it on this tour-MAN was Jeremy a bit wild on that) there are some more I love, but can't think right this second.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

Birdman always has spectacular drumming. Espically live. Jeremy just goes crazy then.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

ON the Gravity tour it was cool at the end when they were all jamming( this was before Steve started doing his little solo and the Molesting) the stage lights would sort of flicker. When you watch it from the front it almost looks like Jeremy is speeding up on his playing. It is pretty wild to watch.

I personally liked their Juno Performance of "Not Afraid" I think Jero looked pretty damn pumped to hell on that one.

If Jero's drumming was the Boston Marathon, The Story of 100 Aisles is a Kenyan. The part just before the chorus makes my jaw drop everytime I hear it.

  I like your analogy. I love when the drum comes in on SUperman's Dead. Especially live when Raine is doing the * Doesn't anybody every know*. THe third time he sings that you get that loud BOOM sound from the drum. I love it. Actually I just love everything about that song in general.

Has got to be that wacky drum fill that Jero plays before the last chorus in One Man Army ;)

That one part in Eternal Life (about 2:16 in) right when Raine does the scream and before the whole band breaks into noise... ah soo good.

I thought I was the only one who noticed that part in "SD"! You even see Raine get into it live, a lot of the times he leans back really hard when that part comes up.

Yep, I love it. It is only done when they play it electric. YOu don't get it so much in accoustic performances. I am also glad someone besides me loves that part.

Speaking of drum parts. I am listening to Stealing Babies now.  Jeremy kicks ARSE on this live.
