Holy 'effin crap this guy is dedgum awesome. I'd never really heard of him that much, but back towards the end of last year I ran across an article in the news talking about the controvery with his "Love Is Hell" disc being split into EPs, and "Rock N Roll" being released instead; and I got kinda interested. I snagged "Love Is Hell 1" a few weeks after release; and that CD is AWESOME. Few months later I got his solo debut "Heartbreaker", which is some of the most dedgum beautiful music EVER ("Sweet Carolina" = ) After jamming to those a while, I picked up his newest disc "Rock N Roll", which is a fantastic little balls out rock record. I've now (yesterday) bought "Gold", and it's pretty darn good, too. Plan on picking up "Demolition" sometime in the next few days :D

anyone else dig this guy?
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

I love his wonderwall cover along with hundreds of others. my dad bought love is hell 1, and though I didn't pay close attention to it, what I heard was gorgeous.
Just because I am sexy, naked, a bassist, and sporting a top hat doesn't make me Duncan Coutts!

nope that's not the same guy.

and i told everyone in advance that his live version of "Wonderwall" kicked serious ass! Of course no one listened! Studio version only has average ass kicking capabilities though

The first time I ever heard something from Ryan Adams, it was 2:30 in the morning on some weeknight. I had just woken up, turned on MTV, and the video for New York, New York started. I was amazed. Then I went back to sleep.

I like how he changes his sound after every album- to stuff that sounds equally as good.

So Alive and the Oasis "Wonderwall" cover is awesome. I have to say I didn't like Ryan at first, but after watching the So Alive video over and over again, it caught on.

And plus there's something insanely sexy about musicians who don't drink beer but drink a lot of hard liquor.

he = good.
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.

Until they're so drunk at a show that they fall off the stage and break their arm and have to cancel the rest of the tour :(
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

true, true; you've gotta draw the ole' drinking line when you're on stage.
