Help me decide

Post by lemonphile4 »

I am facing a dilemma.

I have tickets to see three Sloan shows: in Grand Rapids, MI on May 20, Chicago on the 22nd, and Detroit on the 23rd.

Every time my mom calls, she asks me if I've sold my Chicago ticket yet. Because if I went to the Chicago one, I'd drive six hours directly after the show to my parents' house, by myself. And they don't want me doing that.

Is Sloan worth seeing three times in a row? If they are, I'll tell my parents that I'm going to go. If not... does anyone want a ticket?

ok, so after listening to 30 seconds of sloan I'm instantly hooked. Consider giving those tickets to me please

And any albums in particular that you suggest?

I have only one ticket. And uh... I'm leaning towards going. I'm sure you can still get tickets. They're playing at the Metro.

My favourite album is Between the Bridges. Recently I've been listening to a lot of Twice Removed, too.

Wow you must really love them to see them that many times. But it seems like you already know how much you like them, hence the buying tickets to three shows. I'd go.

never heard of 'em, though they sound pretty cool. think anyone could hook me up with some of their 'tunes?
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

i hate sloan
you have to, you just have to trust me
whoever i was then i can't ever be again
the faith you've found i've never felt
the terror held in wedding bells
the comfort in "there's no one else"
the truth be told, i'm never going to know
