Yeah, that's why I won't vote.

Even if there were other nominees I would still vote for Alan but that's besides the point.

maybe if there were other people included in the poll to vote for ..

just doesn't make sense to include ex members in the polls i guess .. they aren't able to participate or even post ..

:(

Well, it's about people from the last year or so.

Besides, the nominations were open to everyone, and everyone who nominated someone for this category nominated Alan. The point of this thread is basically to say that he won for saying he was going to leave the most. Undisputed champion.

It's created in good fun, not meant to do any harm (and, really, it's not doing any harm).

He'd probably vote for himself.

Besides, why didn't you nominate someone else if you thought it was unfair?

Yeah the people who banned him were not the people who nominated him. I don't see anything wrong with that.

Wow this thread is very mature, how wonderful you have decided to act as a negative role model nikkie4982! It looks like two wrongs DO make a right!

Is there a delightful little poll for the most idioctic and pathetic way of insulting someone?

Everyone had their chance to put their two cents about who to vote for. Alan's name was the only one to come up. Everyone had a chance to put Jeff or the other other Matt, or anyone else who got pissed and left.

What is she supposed to do if only one person was nominated? Not her fucking fault.

Way to act like a negative role model and insult someone who was asking you a question.

You freaked out at Nikki because she treated this award like she treated every other award. That's just the way it works. Haven't you seen a ballot with only one candidate before? I have.

Are you upset because she didn't combine the different names Alan was nominated under into one? Really, I want to know.

If my memory serves me right he also won the "Fuck This, I'm Leaving" award last year when he was still a member and an active poster.

And exactly how is it you justify putting all the blame onto Nikki for simply providing all the polls for us to vote?

First of all, I am not a MOD, so therefore I don't have to be a role model. It is not my responsibility. Next, I did not 'freak out' Do not exagerate my words to make me look bad. Awards, (as far as I have learned) are to award greatness or some sort of acceptional performance. Some of these polls are insulting and rude. No, I have never seen a balot with one candidate before. I believe any serious ballot needs at least 2 candidates. (since this isn't serious, well you know) I am not upset because Alan was the only one nominated for this foolish poll, but the fact that it was started.

Idealist: I hope you weren't referring to me. If so, your memory is not serving you well. I don't recall ever being nominated for a poll (If I was, I was never told), and I never threatened to leave. I can justify it being nikki4982's fault because awards for being 'influential' or 'friendly' or 'artistic' are actually respectable and are non insulting, some of the others were ridiculous. She also started the threads so I felt it was appropriate to use her. IF someone is being immature or a lurker, say something, don't try and embarrass them publicly.

It seems that some of these polls may be used to thin out some of the more disliked posters here.

And for the record, the few times I talked to Alan he seemed like a decent guy. A year or so ago he had said that he had gone through some hard times, like the car crash and breakup. We had a scuffle once or twice, but I think he is a respectul person. To be fair, I haven't had any conversations with him in many months.

in nikki's defence
she's only the messenger
if you want to blame people or whatever then blame those who nominated alan for the award (while not nominating anyone else)
its not nikki's fault
