the song quality was really bad for Billy Talent's song...

I think that the lead singer kinda reminds me of Raine, just because of the uniqueness of their voice (when he's actually singing and not screaming) and also some of his mannerisms are the same (at least in the Try Honesty video)

Nooooo!!!! it's all about the screaming, that's part of what made their performance so good!

here are some links for photos. The first link you have to click on photo galleries. Click on Red Carpet. there is a photo of Duncan(#7 photo) and ther eis one of Jeremy on Ice from fan fest(#2)

http://www.ctv.ca/mini_v2/junos2004/nominees/

also this link has a bunch of photos from the junos.

here is a group shot. I put this in the Sam Roberts thread, but instead of where's Waldo, we can do where's Jeremy. I would say second from right on bottom.

i didn't mind them, they wereno worse then OLP are on those shows. I HATED how they tried to put 4 acts together though, it didn't do any of the bands any justice and was just retarded, they didn't even try to meld the songs. ANd what was with Simple Plan? Do they think they're bad now? News flash your pop-punk, you can't destory the stage, it confuses and frightens the 14 year olds

i have to disagree with you sean... olp, imo, sounds pretty good on most of the award shows... oma, superman's dead and innocent all sounded really good at the mmvas. starseed and iah also sounded really good at the junos... the performance of not afraid last year did not sound too well on the tube, but still decent. i just dont think billy talent has any talent at all really.

I think Billy Talent were awesome. They came in at a bad part of the song but other then that were the most energetic preformance. I would see them over the other three bands they played with.

The are incredibly talented. and I wasn't aware it was the point to be in key. If you want in tune and entertaining, go watch some britney and beyonce...they sing while dancing and computers tune their voices. Personally I'd rather see and hear something that sounded like they were singing it, not a synthesizer.

exactly, sometimes there are more important things than being in key, and this was one of those times if you ask me.

you like OLP and you're complaining about someone being out of key?

Yes, I do like OLP, and I did complain about Billy Talent being out of key. I never once said that everything OLP does, or every single show they put on is fantastic and perfectly in key. In fact, the performance where we got the boot of No Warning was absolutely horrible, and it's not hard for me to say that. However, for the most part, I think OLP's pretty damn good. I also think that Billy Talent's lead singer has a horrible voice (as can be heard in their second video single). And I think their performance at the Juno awards was far beyond bad.

I agree. I went to the show and was really excited to see 3DG perform 'cause I always miss them whenever I have the chance to go see them. Me and my friend were so pissed off when they decided to make a song collage for those 4 rock bands. Each only got to play a quarter of a song while people like Avril Lavigne, Aaron Lines, Nickelback, Nelly Furtado, etc. got to play a whole song. Finger 11 was pretty good, and Billy Talent had a whiny screaming intro for 30 seconds (if you're gonna play only a chunk of a song, sing...don't scream..ughh) that I was actually happy when Simple Plan took over.
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong
