First time I heard OLP was "life" on my musicmatch. It was during a time when I was started to listen to music but had no clue what the hell I was doing. (I tried listening to Staind and I depressed myself after each listen  ) Then I heard life and it sounded so good to hear happy music. Hearing "life is waiting for you" made me happy. I immediatly bought the CD and thought it was like nothing else. Now my musical tastes are much more expanded and I have heard songs far better than life. But spiritual machines is still my favorite album of all time. Whether your in search of a deeper meaning or just like music, it's so fullfilling. I now think life is a pretty shallow song, but it still holds a place in my heart as the song that opened me to real music.

first time i heard olp was with starseed... right from the beginning. i was only 9 at the time but ive never been one to any pop or anything like that really... ive always been all about nirvana, stp, pearl jam, temple of the dog etc. since i was like 5... thats what happens when u have 3 older brothers... you get influenced by their taste of music. but yeah... it's pretty damn amazing if you ask me that olp can influence such a wide range of ages... i was seven and my friends parents, who are now 54 (55?) have always liked olp... pretty cool

They had a semi-hit song back... gosh, years ago now. "Not An Addict"... a lot of people I knew thought it was annoying... I like it, cool song. *puts mp3 on*... yeah, you know, I can hear an OLP influence, now that it's been said. Hah, neat. Anyway, it starts off with the singer going "ooohoooh" a lot, and she's got a voice kinda like... umm... :freak: OK, can't think of anyone to compare her to right now. Sorry.

Oh, and it's K's Choice... not Choise. Just in case anyone wanted to check 'em out. :)

Thanks Nikki on the heads up about K's Choice. I only wrote choise cause that is how the person wrote their name. I never heard of them.

as for OLP appealing to people of all ages. This is true. As you know I am an older OLP fan. I took one of my friends to see them in 2002(she only went because of my fondness for them), She enjoyed the show and said she is surprise there aren't older people into them. THe problem with that i think is because the majority of OLP fans are teens-to mid 20's. Most(not so much on here) people seem to get all bent out of shape if someone over the age of 30 likes OLP or is a big fan. I have gotten some nasty remarks at shows over the years. One of my friends is my age and we are huge OLP fans. SHe was at a show and people thought it was cool someone her age was into the band. Alot of younger fans can't see their parents into the band so they can't understand how we like the band. Music is timeless, and age shouldn't matter. True when I was a teen I couldn't see my mom or dad into the music I listen to. Then again I had much older parents then my friends.

oh well what you going to do. And as for Naveed being 10 years old. I say the songs held up well over the years. THey still sound as good today as they did in 1994. :D

P.S. Jonathan. I will keep a watchout for you at the next show  :P

Oh yes, OLP definitely appeals to all sorts of age groups. I really got into OLP when I was in 5th grade or so. My brother, a junior in high school at the time, liked them a lot too, and still does, as far as I know (not as much as me, or he'd be here too :p ).
I just wanna get out,
Stuck inside of this.
