yeah, i think it did sell the least amount of records, but it's just such a brillant record which is why it sold so few... cuz only brillant people can appreciate it.

I think it was cause Life is a bit cheesy and I don't think its the best representation of the album and it was its biggest hit. So I don't think the CD was what people expected it to be. And In Repair was great but wasn't huge and overplayed, so I can see it being overlooked. And then we know that there was no mafia video....so after that there was no real push on the album. then they lost mike.

Great album, but dark days in the OLP camp.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

i like my explanation better.

nah, i agree tho... it just didn't get a lot of play really... other than life... i don't think life was a cheesy song... however, how they marketed it was a lil cheesy.

The song itself was really beautiful but I dont think it should have been a single...and the video made it a little more cheesy.

oh, and I also think that making a "concept album" scared people away, even though it wasn't really one.

The fact that it was a "concept" album drew me to it more than anything. I love everything about it.

See, now it sounds like I'm ragging on SM. I love that CD! I think Naveed is probably my favorite, but SM is damn good!

 That's exactly why I didn't buy the album until after finally seeing OLP live on the Gravity tour (and becoming the insane hardcore fan I am today ). The words "concept album" made me think it'd be weird and suck. :uh:
