Steve...an engineer???

I was just checking out the new Ben Kweller album ( http://www.benkweller.com ) and I noticed that in the credits it said "Engineered by Ethan Johns and Steve Mazur"

Does anyone know if this is "our" Steve Mazur?

Uh...what does engineering an album mean, exactly? :freak:

Besides, if it was him, I'm sure it would of come out in an interview last year (presumably when the album was recorded)

I couldn't find an e-mail address on the site, but I did post the question on BK's guestbook. I doubt if I'll get a responce (and even if I did, how reliable would it be?) but it's worth a shot!

i take that back.

Recorded and Mixed in October and November 2003 at Sear Sound

it IS possible, as olp wasnt doing much then, and there's been no interviews since then, so he wouldnt of had an opportunity to talk about it.

I printed this photo in one of the other threads making a comment about the caption saying Assistant Enginerr Steve Mazur.

I thought that was funny cause it was like all he did was assist in engineering and not even be in the band.

whether or not they are all the Steve as we know him is unclear. looks pretty doubtful though.

i don't think so... it just lists all the things that 'steve mazur' has been invloved with... it's very possible that there is more than one steve mazur.
i mean, yeah, sure, it's possible that it could be him... IMO, i think that there is more than one steve mazur.

Anyway, Northern Illinois RB Mike Turner is slated to be a first-day NFL draft pick! No wonder he quit OLP...
