OLP Inspired Bedroom

Post by Kaegan »

Hey Everyone!

I haven't posted here before, but I'm hoping to get some ideas here!!

My bedroom is a mess. White walls, and just posters and printed stuff all over the walls. VERY Boring! Soooo I've decided I want a change, and since OLP is my favorite band, I'd like to do an OLP inspired bedroom.

I have a few ideas... Probably different shades of blues, and black. I'd like to include the symbols from Life, paint them on the wall that appear in the music videos. I forget what they stand for, if anyone can find pictures of them I'd REALLY appreciate it.

Anyone have any other ideas? Oh I forgot to mention I'm a drummer, so there is a drumset in my room... if that's at all inspiring. LOL! I should probably make it really canadian too, maple leafs and stuff. I've got some broken cymbals, I can put them on the wall. Maybe I can make something out of broken drumsticks... that's be cool. I'm not much of an artist though ;-).

I would give you screen caps of the life symbols right now but I deleted all my olp videos by accident. Someone will post them eventually

what i did with my room was not clutter the entire walls but draw like a strip going around the room....then fill in the strip with whatever (photos, posters, drawings). Ya know what i mean?

it stands out more than just having everything all over the place

I'd so like to get the OLP/Chinese one as a tattoo.....

Does the first one mean Our lady peace?

I got the music video, didn't know how to make screencaps. I should try and freeze frame on some of the ones that appear all over the place...

Anyone have any other ideas for the room? I was thinking painting that Our Lady Peace One man Army logo somewhere.

The one that looks like a badge... taht'd be cool.

OH and I'll post pictures of the finished product!

That's awesome! I think I might just do that around my closet! COOL!

Can you get me links to the full sized pictures? it's hard to tell which you used.

Duh! Why didn't I think of that! Haha... just ahve to find the booklets. Not great at keeping CD cases. Hey, how did you attach them to the wall so it's flush? Wallpaper glue? Also, just regular paper, or did you get matte photo paper?

I hope you don't mind me using the idea!

no, i dont mind at all

and i used tape, but wallpaper glue would work much better. i just took my time with the tape and did a good job with it.

i used a glossy photo paper, but a matte should work fine. dont use regular paper tho.
