Who cares if he can't sing, no one on American Idol can sing. He is cute and I like him. I will be happy when his 15 minutes of fame are over because he's cute and he will be rich and he can finish his degree in Civil Engineering in peace.

That guy does suck big time...But to be fair, American shows are much better than Canadian ones in general, Canadian Idol is a copycat of and no better than American Idol (they both suck)...And there's no need to be so ignorant of people from the other side of the planet! You know what I'm talking about.

Well I don't give a *&*&%^ to the "idol" origins cuz I believe there's so much better stuff to do rather than doing research on where a cheesy show actually comes from...To my knowledge, it's American Idol that made the idol entertainment famous and started a trend. No other judgement.

Yup. American Idol is a copy of "Popstar" in Britain. Simon Cowell judged in it.

Yes, because it took so much research to find out something that is pretty much common knowledge in the cheesy pop culture department.

American Idol made it popular in North America. It was already famous in Britian, and likely many other parts of Europe.
