CD Settlements

Post by bovine »

Remember about a year or so ago when you could sign up on that site saying that you purchased CDs from a large retailer in the past and they said that you could end up getting a settlement from the chains that fixed their prices? Well, they sent out the checks yesterday! I heard that it's only like 13 bucks, but hey, that's 13 bucks I didn't have before  More info here ----> http://www.musiccdsettlement.com/english/default.htm

Brutus is an honorable man
It's just coincidence that oil men will wage war in an oil rich land
And this one goes out to my man taking cover in the trenches with a gun in his hand
Then gets home and no one flinches when he can't feed his fam...

But Brutus is an honorable man...

I didn't get mine damnit.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Heh, yeah, I'm owed a heck of a lot more than $13, too... but since they didn't decide to do it the FAIR way, where reciepts were needed so everyone would get their actual amount owed back (yes, I have ALL of my reciepts from every cd I've ever bought), I only get $13. *sigh* Maybe my mom'll let me have hers, too, considering she's bought, like, 3 cds ever.

that rules, wish I woulda signed up...
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

 honestly, I dunno. Lemmie find that out and get back to ya. My fiance and I are going with a friend because his parents have a timeshare down there, some place.

My fiance got her check yesterday, 13.86.

Cool note: If ya looked at the return address, it says "Faribault, MN",

A: That's the town that Neil's from
B: The litigation place was "Rust Consulting" and I worked there before I came to NY. I worked on a lawsuit against American General Life Insurance Company.
