Dude, after you posted this I looked up "PSX" cuz I figured it was just a re-released version of the PS1. How the hell did I not know about the release of PSX?
Does anybody else own one of those suckers?? They can play both PS1 and PS2 games (yes, i know the PS2 can do that also) but they can record DVD's as well as play them!?!? What the hell....

Perhaps I shall look into this.......can somebody gimmie some feedback?

Alright, well first off, PSX was the old abbreviation for Playstation 1, and yes the system you're talking about does exist, but isn't available for sale yet. It's just an upgraded version of the PS2, and has all the features you mentioned as well as a HUGE hard drive, Last I heard was one is around 160 Gigs, and the other is 250 gigs, but this is from an old newsletter, the HD is also built in, instead of the external one that sony will be releasing in march with Final Fantasy XI.

I don't think the final name of the system is the PSX though, however, I could be mistaken. I do know that it will come with 2 optional sizes of hard drives and it will probably sell for around $800 american for one of the sizes.

Hope that helps!

The point is.....that Sony is creating the tenatively titled PSX not to be simply a gaming console, but to revolutionize "entertainment".

The thing is sooped up...

So dudes, all the shit posted on ebay about how if you're the winning bidder you find out how to get a PSX shipped from Japan for around 100.00 is BS, I'm guessing?

And how is Sony going to re-volutionize entertainment with this "psx"?

I'll just wait for the PS3
