I remeber reading an ariticle awhile back when Korn was palying here. This girl said she was a huge Korn Fan, but hadn't bought any of their records. She said all my CD's are burned. That sort bother me. I mean I know people download songs now-and that is the wave of the future(whether free or per-song) I am disappointed though when someone says they never buy anyone's music and is a big fan. It is true that most of the earnings come from Touring, but a piece deos come from CD sales.

That bothers me too. Not so much downloading and burning in itself, because I do that a lot too. But the not buying. There's this thing in my tv guide where they ask someone on the street what CD they bought last. There are so many kids who say they don't buy anything at all, they just download everything. Dammit, if you really love an artist, you should support them!

I cannot understand how someone can be satisfied with burning a cd. I love going to the store, buying a cd, getting the pesky plastic wrap off, admiring the cover and cd art and reading the liner notes. Burning a cd isnt the same. You certainly do not own the cd if its burnt. It may be the same music but its not the whole package.

I'd say something else, but I'd end up saying almost the exact same thing.

True. I love buying cd's for exactly this reason. Unfortunately, I really can't afford buying cd's all the time. Especially not now that I want to go to Canada for a year when I've finished high school, and my parents don't want to pay for everything.

I ordered a cd online a few days ago from The Bad Plus called "These Are the Vistas". I was $25(US) since it was an import and I already have the US version, but I paid that money for one extra song that's on there. I also bought their new CD "Give" which hasn't been released in the US yet (it will be on March 9th) that one had an extra song too and was $35 and I'll probably end up getting the US version too if it has different cover art/liner notes. I'm just doing my part to make up for people who just d/l stuff

Brutus is an honorable man
It's just coincidence that oil men will wage war in an oil rich land
And this one goes out to my man taking cover in the trenches with a gun in his hand
Then gets home and no one flinches when he can't feed his fam...

But Brutus is an honorable man...

I completely agree. I won't even download albums by my favorite artists pre-release dates just cos I love getting the whole package at once, going home with my brand new cd, and blaring it on my stereo. You just don't get that feeling from downloading something.
