Oh man! I thought the solo on beautiful forever would be longer! oh well. It doesn't end horribly.

OOH! The end for the alchemist is not bad. I like how they have keyboard at the end. Mainly because that's my instrument i guess.

Thanks for everything Susan! Tell me when more's on the way!

Anybody decipher what the hell he is saying in Beautiful Forever? I've tried. I can't make sense of it. I think his voice is annoying on it. Can't make sense of the words.

I like the songs (and love Don't Start), but 'tis merely a fraction of the brilliance Mike made with Our Lady Peace.

Very awesome songs!! :jerk off:
It's great to see stuff from Mike and Jamie! :P

Here's what I think the lyrics are for Beautiful Forever:

Beautiful forever like a sundae
We give away.. I wanna share
You and I 2gether
Where we're differ-rant
We've been through that.. on a day

Cause no one can see you
Quite like I do

How does it feel to be a bland girl
Starting your life again
You travel so far until you find a note
You're at the start of a beautiful beginning

You broke me like a boy
Who said "I'm in love with you"
Well I guess we knew
It's now beginning or end
And beautiful forever like the crucified
For the days we tried.. for all we knew

Cause no one could see you
Quite like I do

How does it feel to be a bland girl
Starting your life again
You travel so far until you find a note
You're at the start of a beautiful beginning

*Emteegasm*

How does it feel to be a bland girl
Starting your life again
You travel so far until you find a note
You're at the start of a beautiful beginning

How does it feel to be a bland girl
How does it feel to be a bland girl

I think bland could be replaced with blank or plain or maybe even grand or piano or beans or baked goods

*****

updated lyrics:

Beautiful forever like a sundae
We gave away.. I wanna share
You and I together
Where we're different
We've been through that.. oh what a day

Cause no one can see you
Quite like I do

How does it feel to be all brand new
Discovering your life again
Travelled so far until you finally know
You're at the start of a beautiful beginning

You broke me like the boy
Who said "I'm in love with you"
Well I guess we knew
There's no beginning or end
And beautiful forever like the crucified
For the days we tried.. for all we knew

Cause no one could see you
Quite like I do

How does it feel to be all brand new
Discovering your life again
You travelled so far until you finally know
You're at the start of a beautiful beginning

*Emteegasm*

How does it feel to be all brand new
Discovering your life again
You travelled so far until you finally know
You're at the start of a beautiful beginning

How does it feel to be all brand new
How does it feel to be all brand new

*Emteegasm* is the best part though. Even if the whole thing is about brownies.
-Sarah

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

I think "bland girl" is "brand new"

How does it feel to be? You're brand new,
Starting your life again.

Or something...

I love these songs.. but the chorus for The Alchemist is sort of a let down for me when i compare it with the rest of the song.

"you travel so far until you finally know..."

and i'm guessing it's "there's no beginning or end". it really does sound like "it's now" but that doesn't make much sense.

The Alchemist

Transition
Whatever will be will be
It's the outcome missed in me
And transtions
Everybody bleeds

Don't die, shadow
Beauty's not impossible

I know about transition
I know how beautiful, how strange
I know about transition
I know
There's beauty within
There's beauty without

Lead to starry night
So everyone can see
What your insides on the outside would be
Transitions
Everybody bleeds

Don't die, shadow
Beauty's not impossible

I know about transition
I know how beautiful, how strange
I know about transition
I know
There's beauty within
There's beauty without

*mini Emteegasm :P *

Transition
Whatever will be will be
Wait and see

Don't die, shadow
Beauty's not impossible

I know about transition
I know how beautiful, how strange
I know about transition
I know
There's beauty within

I know about transition
I know how beautiful, how strange
I know about transition
I know
There's beauty within
There's beauty without

I thought "It's the outcome missed in me" was "the alchemist in me" hence the name.

the new emtee stuff rules all...

Alchemist is the catchiest, IMO, but I like Don't Start and Beautiful Forever more, though.

Hey, could whoever got the songs from Mike post the e-mail Mike sent them?
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

So we can harass him for more?

I think he'd rather keep that private...
