It is very fast the person with the blue Togue(hat as us AMericans say)

I have noticed something though. I finally have watched the whole Concert from start to finish. Has anyone noticed how weird soemthings are edited. I think it is funny how they show Raine out in the audience with the girls for Mafia, then show acrowd scene, then next thing you know Raine is back on stage with a guitar on. It just seems funny. Like you don't really see how he broke free from the girls to get back on stage-so they show an audience shot.

The editing is a little weird at times. Probably because they filmed at two locations, they should have just shot the whole thing in one occasion.

What I find the strangest about the dvd is that the camera crew are in more shots than Mike E. I know he wasn't an official member, but was it really necessairy to ignore him completely... And camera men shouldn't be in the picture at all, I can understand when it happens in overviews, but you can even see them in close-up shots.

But overall I like the dvd. Especially with 5.1 surround sound on high volume :D

The only thing that bothers me really REALLY bad about the dvd and the way it's shot is during Superman's Dead. When that one camera guy is standing RIGHT next to Raine completley ruining the shot. I mean, DUDE, what the heck?! Stupid cameraman.

What is weird for me is when you watch it is you have to watch whatever they have on. I know from seeing OLP shows that there are other things I wish they show instead of what they did. I mean during certain songs I wish they focused on say Duncan's playing instead of Steve, Jeremy instead of Raine. Things like that.

Plus Nikki(since you seen OLP live since this show) It seems old now. I mean with Superman's Dead-Remember how Raine sort of slowed down the ANYBODY EVER KNOW PART> How he spoke during the verses of Birdman. The one that I miss is the ad-lib to Are You Sad. On the end of the SM tour he started singing at the end of the song(the part that goes oh, oh, oh etc) He sang"Won't you pick up the phone, and tell me you're home, you shouldn't be"

I do love the DVD though. I love their version of Drive. I think it is odd to me cause I am so use to seeing OLP in a small venue. I still am getting use to the arenas. I only saw OLP a few times in an Arena. I prefer the smaller venues. Don't you?

Smaller venues are definitely better than big. Though, I've never seen OLP in a crowd bigger than probably 5000 people. *hides from Canadians* Seeing them in a huge arena would definitely be a cool experience, though.

Seeing OLP in arenas is really wierd when you're not used to it. I went from seeing shows with mainly about 500 people to seeing them in arenas with 6,000 to 9,000 people. It's really cool, but I definitely prefer the smaller shows.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

It is awesome. Its nice to be surrounded by thousands of fellow OLP nuts  :)

As for the DVD, they shouldn't have spliced the concert footage together. Look at "Are You Sad" as an example. Raine seems to be using two different guitars.

I know you know what I went through the first time I saw OLP in a Larger place. It was really odd and exciting at the same time. I only saw them in 1000 venues or as openers. When I went up for the 1998 SUmmersault, that was wild. it was 30,000 people. It was really interesting that most of the people, if not all were there for OLP. It does take getting use to if you saw them in a smaller setting. I only saw them in Arenas in 2000 on the World's A Blister Tour. The biggest place/venue I saw OLP in the last few years was the SKYDOME(SARS SHOW) and the John Lablatt in London, ONT in 02'. I was on the floor, so it sort of flet like a small plac eto me. I couldn't really see the rest of the arena.

The difference for me is since I have basically seen all the OLP shows in small venues I feel the larger arenas loses something. Then again I feel that way in genereal. I prefer small venues to big, but unfortunately some of the bands I like only play arena's or stadiums.

Really? I never noticed the guitar thing.

Too bad I'm so lazy, or else I might put it in right now and watch.

I watched Linkin Parks Live in Texas at my friends and Coldplays Live DVD and I am still partial to OLPs. It could be that I am horribly biased, but I like the fact that OLP is a band that has been around long enough to have a selection of songs to do, and the behind the scenes shit was pretty good.

I think I am a little more impressed with their DVD now.

Heh heh heh, I was talking to the guy at HMV and he said that some people would buy the DVD and kept returning it before they knew it was recalled. Suckers. That must have made a lot of people unhappy.

Coldplay's extras are much better. There's "behind the scenes" stuff all about the band touring, with loads of interviews and the band joking around and stuff. I'm not sure exactly how long it is, but I'm sure it's at least 2 hours of extra footage. Though, I think it's more.

I got the Coldplay DVD for x-mas. I didn't ask for it, I asked for A Rush of Blood to the Head..

Anyways, I was fairly impressed, but since I'm not a huge, huge fan, I'm still partial to the OLP one. I did like the effects that they used but I don't know if I would've wanted OLP to use those kind of effects.
*shrugs*

The Coldplay tour documentary thing was neat too, OLP should have made a longer one like that.

Ok, did anybody to go amazon.com and check out the reviews on the DVD?? I'd like to cyber-slap the person that ACTUALLY thought "Wipe That Smile...." would be on the freakin disc.

Oh, I see. The "7" was to throw people off, so they wouldn't discover your real identity.
