it's not really on topic, but it's surprising how common miscarriages are. I guess it's just such a tragic event that nobody really talks about it. But yes, very sad, and hopefully such is not the case with the expected maida baby.

THey said 12 didn't they..........I'm pretty sure it will be 12 ...........since they recorded 27 it isn't that hard for them to add one or two more than usual. And I'm sure we the fans would damn well appreciate it.

They said they had 12 songs recorded at one point, but that was after their first session in the studio. They never said anything about how many songs would be on the album I'm pretty sure.

I remember Raine saying at the Craven show that they had recorded 12 songs. I never heard anything about how many tracks the album was gonna have.

It would be great if they could be like the Peppers and have 15-17 songs. It would be cool if they did a Studio CD(with 11-12 songs) and have a LIVE bonus CD with the new(unreleased)songs they did last year on it
Talk is Cheap
Not Afraid
No Warning
Walking in Circles
Wipe That Smile off your face

and as an extra bonus( hidden track on studio cd) Starseed live with the MLK intro. Hey David Usher has a hidden track on his new cd( St Lawerance River live). Now that would be interesting.

Or better yet, a bonus DVD of them recording the CD. I know alot is available at the Hub (thanks to you kind people) but I think that would be cool. That seems to be the new thing now. Bonus CD's and DVD's with studio releases.
Does anyong agree with me. ?

i think they should stick to a lower number... 11 or 12
and concentrate on making them perfect with layers and whatnot.

and matt, i think i heard that too. i thought i remember them saying they wanted 12 for the cd.

generally the record company will allow around 15 or so songs to be mixed, but if they have recorded 27 songs that number may go up which may lead to more album songs.

based on prior albums I'm going to remain skeptical about the number of tracks. More songs to choose from doesn't mean much to me.

I'm thinking 13 songs at the most.

Here's my thinking. You have to figure that by probability some of those 27 (let's say 6, to be safe but probably more, I mean, by the two clips we've heard, they are batting 1.000) are great songs. Being OLP, we know that the majority of the remainder are probably good songs, but just not great (14 songs, let's say). With 27 songs, you have to figure that some are just not up to par (there's 7 left).

While it's pretty obvious OLP just could amaze us all and the majority of those songs are great, I'm thinking my numbers seem pretty logical.

They could very well release all 27, but I'm sure in that case we'd have to siphon through some obvious filler to get to the good stuff.

The hardest part is probably figuring out which of the good-but-not-great tracks to cut. You follow me? :freak:

My point is I don't want a 16 or so song record with just some great songs, a few good songs, and some crap.

I'd rather have an 11 or 12 song CD with just good stuff
