Check out Kind Of Like Spitting.

I'm ripping their cd today, and I expect to send it to lots of people. The CD is a masterpiece, and I'm not overselling this.

The lyrics are complex, yet simple. Yes, it may have its depressing moments, but what the hell? You cope with these things when it comes to great music.

When Ben starts really getting into songs, his voice sounds like a really angry Conor Oberst. It just blows you away. Anyways, if you like Death Cab For Cutie or any other band on Barsuk Records, I am sure that band you like has vocals on this CD. Ben Gibbard of DCFC sings backup on most of the songs on here, along with people from Rainer Maria and Nada Surf, just to name a couple. It's worth me sending it to you.

Anyways, I've got a good track record for music. Alkaline Trio, Koufax, Murder By Death, The Postal Service, come on, I know music. Check these guys out.

I love kols, I saw them live once and it was so effing cool. I have Bridges Worth Burning and a bunch of their other songs on mp3.

Also check out mewithoutyou. They are kinda similar to a bright eyes/kols type of sound. They own.

mewithoutyou dont sound anything like bright eyes...they are ultra christian hardcore..but i still like their sound it is unique from all the other hardcore stuff. The singer is good friends with Norma Jean and sings on one of their songs which is a really good song called "Memphis Shall Be Laid to Rest"

i wouldn't consider them hardcore.

but the vocals do remind me an awful lot of bright eyes.
