I just got the OLP DVD last night. The price was quite high at $40 (US) but, luckily, I got a 30% employee discount Either way, it was definately worth the price! I never heard their cover of "Drive" before, and I liked that. I could have used a little extra in the special features area (would a second disc have killed Sony at $40 a pop?!?!) but what was there I thought was good. There was even a little clip of Jeremy at the Philly show that I was at (although had it not been for the word "Philadelphia" at the bottom of the screen, there would have been no way to tell, lol). I thought that the part with the helmet that said not for use with ice hockey was pretty funny! I also loved the footage of Theif with just Steve and Raine. Does anyone know where that was filmed? It doesn't look like a huge venue like they play in Canada, so I'm assuming it was either in the US or the UK? Oh, the little clip where the fire alarm went off was pretty cool too. I heard about that when it happened but I forgot about it. I think the audience thought it was a joke
Oh, one more thing...someone tell Chantal not to watch the end of "Right Behind You"...for Raine's sake

nvm that question...I just saw the other thread about that
If I remember it correctly, Raine got practically dragged into the crowd. Girls hanging around his neck and everything. I don't understand how he managed to kept singing through it. It kinda freaked me out
yeah. at the end of the song he turned to go back to the stage and someone grabbed him and kissed his cheek. then someone else slapped his ass.
You know, I honestly never saw Raine as the "screaming fan girl" type. I was wrong. I guess if he can molest steve, the fans can molest him.

I was right down the front next to a speaker and I couldn't hear the fire alarm at all until they'd actually cut all the sound from the stage. The first thing i knew was a security guard running up the steps the other side of the stage waving his arms around and all i could think was 'this is so great, you can't just make us stop in the middle of 4am' so we kept singing and they kept playing until the guy got to talk to Duncan and Raine and Raine told us we had to leave. Then we turned round and saw the room was half empty!
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.
And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.
I just got the non-glitched copy yesterday, so it was the first time I saw birdman... no one told me that not only does Raine molest Steve, he also attacks a guy from the audience Personally I found him getting dragged into the crowd pretty funny. . . especially since the guys all pat his back 'cause they didn't want to hug him

You mean you never been to an I LOVE YOU RAINE/YOU'RE SO HOT show before? You don't know what you are missing For me it is rare to see a show where some girl isn't screaming something like that. Then again I was smack in front of Raine at those shows. I could tell you stories. I think it is great when Raine comes out into the audience. Yeah I agree he is CRAZY , but I think he puts alot of trust into the fans to come out. The cutest thing for me was in London England in 02'. He came out along the front during Innocent. He stopped right in front of the girl next to me. She just threw her arms around him and gave him a hug. It was so adorable. You had to see how excited she was. She was maybe 16 years old. It was cute. She didn't hold on for dear life like some people have. When I saw them in Montreal at the Club show in Dec 00'-Raine walked along the balcony during Naveed. this kid was holding on to him for dearlife. You could see that Raine was getting, I wouldn't say pissed, but he was trying to move away form the kid. Finally the kid let go. As he walked along the audience this girl tried to grab his arm. but he moved it up. THe people nex tto me said it was a typically Raine move. I said I think it was more like he didn't want to be touched after that kid wouldn't let him go. I have seen a bunch of singers do that. They know people will go to touch them or shake their hand, But I always wonder how they don't lose their concentratin when people are holding onto you for dearlife.
It is all part of Rock and Roll I guess. Comes with the job.

My friend told me we got our replacements form SONY. Here is what i think is funny. Our *DEFECTIVE COPIES* play in our DVD players( her copy doesn't play in the playstation though) I told her wouldn't it be funny if the new copy didn't play in my player. I have two copies now. I am keeping it cause how do I know the copy I have now will play in a different player. Still I think it is funny.

just coz i can't afford the dvd just yet, can someone watch the end of 4am for me and tell me if, as raine leaves the stadium, you can see him giving a high five to a strikingly handsome young man with a blue toque? if you can, that strickingly handsome young man is I.

Sorry, I don't see a "strikingly handsome young man with a blue toque." In fact, no one with a blue toque As I'm sure you know, they did film 2 shows for the DVD so it could have been the other 4am that they put on there. I could be wrong though...the DVD is up on the hub, so just d/l 4am and you could probably tell yourself better than me (as I don't know what you look like...except that you're strikingly handsome, of course)

ya, he definitely slaps five to a kid with a blue toque, the person next to you (if it is you) is wearing a wierd kinda chaffeur hat if that helps on figuring out if it's you. and the guy next to her (i think it is a her) is wearing a white t-shirt.
