No Real order

Raine Maida has one of the most acrobatic and emotional voices of our time

Matthew Good can be amazingly calm and amazingly aggresive at the same time

Thom Yorke is different and could possibly be the future of rock music

The Beatles, all of em, but my favorite was harrison, he could write some of the most meaningful things, but then again i give the other guys credit, Across the Universe is brilliant

Michael Stipe has a very different voice and does some amazing things with his voice and the music

Ryan Jordan (Greenwheel, equally amazing, especially live)
Layne Staley (AIC, unique and emotional)
Jason Boyd (Audiovent... runs in the family)

duh I was being a dip and didn't give reasons or even what band they are from, let's try this again.

Matt Good - i love the way he writes lyrics and his voice is perfect for his songs
Gerard Way (my chemical romance) - he gets so into it, he has so much energy and his voice is just a total rock voice
Aaron Weiss (mewithoutyou) - his voice conveys so much emotion it is amazing, and he is great at constructing songs
Conor Oberst - he seems so original to me, i love the way he writes lyrics and music, and his voice is perfect for what he does and very unique.

Davey Havoc (AFI)- He screams and sings, and the transition between the two is smooth and sounds amazing. He has a very distinct, unique voice.

Raine Maida (OLP, in case anyone was wondering)- His voice is dirty sexy. Haha, no but seriously.

Lead singer of Coheed and Cambria (name is unknown)- You would never think that the voice comes out of an overweight half black man. Its amazing, I am so impressed.

Sarah Machlachlan- Her voice is pure, angelic and beautiful. Man I wish I could sing like her.

Chris Martin (Coldplay)- such a chill voice!

Guy: Her locker's down the hall, I've counted 17 from mine.
Girl: Does he see me? Does he even know that I'm close by?
Guy: We're in the hallway, always at half past nine.
Girl: Would he ever get to know me? Would he take the time?

Okay, I'm adding Paul McCartney and Chris Martin to my list.

Do The Beatles count as rock? Yeah, I think so.

Well...

Raine (his voice drew me to the band... really stands out, but unfortunately it seems like he's the reason people hate the band)

Chris Martin (excellent vocalist)

Bono (I think he speaks for himself when you listen to Sunday Bloody Sunday)

Matt Good (voice has improved with age. LOTGA is pretty pathetic after you listen to Avalanche, which gives me chills)

Honestly, there's so many I could put and there's probably hundreds of guys who would knock these 4 out of their spots, I just haven't been exposed to enough music.

uh, you must be joking. conor is a great poet and excellent composer but he is, bar none, the worst singer that i have ever heard. well, on record, anyways.

moving on.

#1. Jeff Buckley - because he's the best we've had in at least 50 years.

#2. David Usher - because he's an amazing vocalist. He could be a pop star easily.
#3. Stephan Jenkins (third eye blind) - His style is extremely unique. The hybrid rap/singing is so cool. he's so aware of beat and rythym.
#4. Jared Leto - because his voice is huge! he must have cast iron lungs.
#5. Chris Simpson (mineral/the gloria record) - his voice is so smooth and soothing.

honourable mentions: pete yorn, raine maida.

oh my god, i love his voice. Actually, I'll admit, the first time I heard it i thought he was annoyingly whiny but I guess it kinda grew on me cause now I think it's awesome.

I can tolerate Conor, at best. Now I just can't stand anything related to Bright Eyes and am probably going to sell all my BE cds because of one stupid ex. Fucking cunt claimed all my favorite bands and gayed them all up. Damnit.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

The best...

Kevin Griffin (Better Than Ezra)- He is an awesome singer and you can actually tell this at live shows. He never sounds bad.
Raine Maida- unique
Chris Martin- unique
Dave Matthews- I just think that he has a very cool voice and writes a lot of deep songs that sound happy.
Matthew Good- He's awesome because he knows so much about the world and isn't afraid to share his opinions.
