what the fuck is the deal with everyone on this board? i swear if you dont have atleast 11 million posts your opinions arent taken seriously. i dont think i've ever posted anything without somebody implying that i'm a total idiot. posts from other people who are new are cut down as well. im sorry we havent spent 23 hours a day on this site trying to get to know all of you, but some of us have places to go and maybe even sometimes things to do. im sure this post itself will draw such attention, but that is fine as it will be my last. i love our lady peace as much as any of you, and that's what this board is about. but it's terrible when some people are cut down for their ideas, their thoughts, and their opinions... usually on this board for being a "newbie" god forbid... im sure all of you entered with more than 10 thousand posts. want examples? look around... any insulting comment was probably made towards somebody with less than 200 posts. you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I'm not taking sides or anything here, but what is being spoken of is a common thing I've seen in other message boards and communities, online games, anything on the internet really, which is to never take the "newbie" seriously. I've always hated that kind of attitude, and while I'm not here enough to know if what he is says is true or not on this board, I can understand the frustration. Just my thoughts though.
yeah i too see that in almost everything internet related. I don't consider to CM to be as bad as everyone else though. Newbies are ussually welcomed (maybe jockingly hassled) and then accepted into teh community. although i did find it intimidating watching as all the regulars talked and had their own little things going on. My best tip is start talking in a few threads your comfortable in and slowly branch out. Also learn someones name, and make sure people learn yours. 
Which brings me to a question
Would you guys consider me a regular? As in one of those people that are on a lot and post frequently? You know, like axtech and them? Or am i just kinda "here"?

For the record, if you didn't get that, it was called sarcasm. yup. sorta like a joke. strange huh. but I just want to say that I have seen many new people get welcomed to this board in all seriousness. Hell I haven't been here long at all and look at my post count. So if you want an example of people hating on newbies, try the clumsy congress. Or we could dig up the many threads about people saying "i'm new here" and everyone else saying "welcome!"

woah woah woah, okay. So some people get hazed, it's a newbie thing, but that doesn't mean since you woke up this morning and found your dog and not your girlfriend, with it's head between your legs, that you have any right to come here and start bashing the people with a high post count. Nikki's right, who has treated you badly?
Half the people who used to have a lot of posts and who've been here for a long time, don't post as often, it's mostly people who signed up in 2003 who post a lot now anyway.
ha, when i first joined i got shit on .. then again it's cuz i purposely leaked the entire gravity album to about 100 people on audiogalaxy before the album was released 
but i'm still here .. it's more of an addiction now .. and the fact i have nothing else to do .. i've made newbie comments .. i just did in the elijah thread .. but i don't mean it in a bad way, just a joking-you-suck kinda way .. why take it so offensively .. it's text ..
