Same thing with me. I dont know why...I just don't like people getting me things. I've already talked to my mom about it. She's like "I really don't mind getting you something...just tell me what you would like." The truth is, I really don't like getting things. She'll probably still get me something though. No one understands.

heheh weird...

It's sad to think of the people who have to be alone on Christmas. That's the problem with this time of year... half the world is in the best mood, getting together with family and not taking anything for granted.. then the other half is lonely and depressed, not having anything to take for granted in the first place..

boo.
I could talk about why its a commerical profit making holiday that has no significant value anymore other then promoting materialism and what not but that isnt really why I hate it, and I likely wont say why I hate it.
but its all so fake
That's not completely true. Lots of people actually think about Christ's birth on the holiday.
I can see how you could get depressed over the holidays. It's like everyone rubbing their super happiness in your face.
LOTR rocks.
My best friend made me an olp hoodie for Christmas. Having friends rocks.
OLPGAL, YOU im'd me. Sorry I wasn't around, I came home and couldn't figure out who it was. I added you.

yes...I get why people like christmas
and I get that its a religious holiday
But to be honest, I don't care. That isnt how we celebrate it. I have no problem with people who like christmas. none at all, but I wish it would end already.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

Coming from a family who celebrates x-mas in a big way (we actually have 2 trees this year cause there's too many presents to fit under one...) we don't celebrate it for the material reason. The gifts are just a way of showing your loved ones that you care.
it's true that there are a lot of people who are alone for holidays. We throw a big party on boxing day and anyone and everyone is invited. A lot of my mom's friends don't have very much family, so they're all invited to come over and spend x-mas with people who care for them. My mom even buys extra presents just in case people show up that she wasn't totally expecting, just so that way they don't leave empty handed.

I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

i like christmas because everybody cheers up.
i also love the "materialism". That's right. I love how much money changes hands at this time of year. Unadulterated capitalism. It's gorgeous. I was in a computers software store talking to one of the managers there and he told me that on Midnight Madness they grossed more in one day then they normally do in a six day week.
Holy shit! That's a ton of money!
What about the coke commericals? They're always so dope. And the christmas specials on TV... this year I watched "Undercover Christmas". What a nugget. The cast should be sent to actor jail and the director and producers should all commit seppuku.
But still. Gotta love the cheesy x-mas tv.
It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Christmas makes me sick. I don't know what it is, but I detest it. The family parties where the only verbal contact I receive come out as insults make me sick. The fact that my parents are just horrible people and fight all the time on Christmas makes me want to move out of the house. The fact that I'm very much alone and have no one to hold makes me rather not happy. The fact that I know no one will be reciprocating the gifts I got them this year is rather shitty too. Well, I knew that my ex Lauren wouldn't get me anything, but still, I spent $50 on someone that doesn't even appreciate me enough to call, let alone get me anything. Shit, I'm still waiting for my birthday presents. She didn't even get me anything last Christmas, which was rather horrible, considering her and I were dating and all...
And on top of that, the people that come into my work demanding things make me sick. They scream and swing at me because it's clearly my fault we're out of a certain CD, and it's also my fault they waited until Dec. 22 to start Christmas shopping. I hope they all burn in hell.

I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.
i'm finishing my shopping today
do you think my hot girlfriend will like it if i buy her the movie "finding nemo"?
what sort of shit do hot girlfriends like for christmas anyway?
