This time of year we are bombarded with all the best/worst of lists. I am courious to know what are your best and worst OLP moments of the year? Nikki and Nam, I bet best would be bumping into Taggart at HMV in TO.
Here are mine: Best would have to be April. Getting to talk to Raine, Chantal and Steve with my friend after the Junos. That was a pretty special and unexpected moment for us. For that one brief moment we weren't treated like fans, but more like friends you hadn't seen in awhile.
Worse: Definitely waiting in the cold last Feb to see them. It was a college campus and there was no place to really stay except outside and it was below freezing. Not to mention all the snow on the ground. YOU wanted the doors to open just to defrost.

worst- olp deciding not to call it quits after the end of the gravity tour and try and release a live album and dvd with major failure. Now they will try to redeem themselves in 04 but I thing by the end of the year they will no longer be together

CHEER UP ROB, why so negative? I highly doubt OLP are calling it quits by the end of the year. Think positive. It takes more then one *FAILURE*, as you call it, to call it quits. Look at how many bands are still out there long after their records aren't selling and people still go out to the shows. There are only maybe a dozen or so people who are still on top years after there first success.

BEST - a heart-felt high-five from raine as he exited the arena in Edmonton in January
WORST - not being able to find my car for an hour in a huge storm after Stage 13, and then having to drive soaking wet and alone, in the dark and rain, all the way back to Edmonton.
Worst - my dad nagging us to go home while OLP was on stage at Stage 13 and getting the blame for having to drive in the dark while a huge storm was taking place
When I bought the live CD, the cashier seemed really impressed at how good it sounded since ,ost live CDs out there sound like crap.
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong

That's nothing, but in 2000 when they played a canadian club tour, my friends and I waited outside 8 hours in the warmest of -20 celcius and it just got colder!!! Oh yeah and we didn't get in!!!

I had that experience also. I went to the Montreal show. I got there extremely early(it paid off I was first on line). I was freezing. We also waited afterwards to meet the band. It started snowing after teh show. Bliizzard like. I took the bus up from NYC. I thought for sure I would be stuck in Montreal cause of the weather. When I got off the bus, there was all ready about 5-6 inches of snow on the ground and everything was icy. I was so not really prepared for the snow yet. Thank God I was wearing my DOC MARTIN's.
here are the photos. That is snow in the one of Jamie. OMG, these are a bit over 3 years ago. WOW. how time flies. Where did you try to see the band? Sorry you didn't get in. I actually won tickets from the PPU. I had to laugh cause I asked the guy who called if they gave them to me since I was coming up from NYC. He said no, you won them offically. It was something like every other call won a pair of tickets. I sometimes miss the PPU. I got a lot of great things from them. I was watching the video tape they sent out afew years ago when in the studio for Happiness. It had holiday greetings from the band and the film of Saul reading the "Our Lady Peace" poem that they used on the clumsy tour. Oh my, that was interesting. I would of gotten in anyway if I didn't win tickets cause 1) I was maybe the 10th person on line(first for guest list where our tickets were.). I think they sold to about 50 or so people. 2) The band knew who I was and if I had a problem would of made sure I got in. I had a problem with my ticket on the Blister tour and they made sure I got into the show. They actually put on this girl( who was waiting outside to meet the band also, that i got to talking to)who needed a ticket. She was shocked that I asked for her and that they actually did it. Too bad I didn't know you then.

Best- Meeting Jeremy at the Edge studio a couple weeks ago.
Worst- Not being able to find an OLP poster ANYWHERE and my dad constantly making fun of me because he thinks that Our Lady Peace is a christian rock band.

Best: OLP concert in Winnipeg, since that's the only time I got to see them this year...
Worst: All those bland interviews that they put out about Gravity, Steve, the Live album...all of their interviews were the same damn thing, over and over and over...
