Since it turns out Raine is just helping produce a couple songs it seems alright with me. He's been trying to get his foot into the producing door for a little while now, and this might be the break he needs. He's going to need something to do after OLP are done, and if he does a good job with Avril that's going to give him more offers from other artists in the future.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

He's helping Avril record an album and might do a song together. So the hell what?
If you guys could get anymore judgemental about something that doesn't even reflect OLP's material and chastise Raine for helping a fellow Canuck with something he wants to do..........

I care because I look good music. That is why I am so opposed to this. I still want to believe the OLP cd will be kickass and all, but if Raine and his dumbed down lyrics and Avril Lavigne and her awesome songwriting prowess join together, it's just the last straw. I couldn't believe OLP could be good again if that happened. It just kills the dream.

I agree with Axtech here..............I'm surprised at the immaturity people are showing.........obviously putting their own ideal ahead of Raine's.
Its funny that a guy is helping to produce a fellow canuck, maybe record a song with her on his own time, and then he gets railed for it by "fans".
This does not affect OLP's material........its another project that Raine wants to do. Why should anyon judge him for it?? You OLP freaks will get the goods on the album........let him do what he wants otherwise. Hell, you should even try showing a pinch of faith instead of complaining.

Oh no, if raine does one song with someone i'm going to stop listening to olp. oh my god!
If olp continues to make crappy gravity music, i'll stop listening. If they play good music and raine lets out his poppy side doing side projects like this, i'll can only be for it.

Yes, let's freak out because raine is helping another musician record some songs .. the world is coming to an end 
the term selling out? i believe our lady peace have already crossed that line with gravity, if there is such a thing as 'selling out' which frankly i hate that term because it means nothing and is just another lame label people like to attach to popular bands who make it big.
at this point, i prefer avril over our lady peace ... raine helping her out on an album shouldn't be blown out of proportion just because you don't like avril's music.
let's keep in mind, avril and olp toured together .. with olp opening for avril .. which opened a few doors for olp over in europe and got them some attention, that they obviously wanted .. let's try to be mature about this.
people really need to get over this whole "oh my gawd avril sucks" thing .. it's getting old fast. whether you like her music or not .. she's clearly demonstrated she has talent. she'll be around for awhile longer i'm sure, get used to it.

Did they say that Raine is recording a song to duet with Avril???? Perhaps Raine is just there giving Avril and her band some help on their new material...
