Start -> Settings -> Control Panel
Double click Add/Remove Software.
Pick the program from the list.
Click Uninstall, OK, remove, or whatever that button is. It's different on XP than ME.

Looks like you've got some sort of adware on your computer.

Download Ad-Aware: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

I've used ad-aware 43096830963096 times. It doesn't get rid of that.

Okay okay, I remember now!
On my computer we share it between three 'users'
When we first got the computer and left the internet on, we could switch 'users' and choose the option of letting the internet stay connected. But now it just disconnects without asking.
How can I stop it from disconnecting when I change users?

Okay, my friend has a mac and she was going to burn some cd's but for some reason her computer wont write on the brand she bought. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with her computer or writer because it works on other CD's. And the type she bought I have used on my PC and they worked fine.
So now I am confused.
We think her computer is a CD snob and only accepts certain brands.
Anyone know whats going on?

it shouldnt have the problem with CDs, they are compatible, however DVD's can be a problem if that's what she's using. But u said CDs so I wont get into that.

Anyway, one thing I want to know is if she has succesfully burned a cd at all? because depending on her program, the internal burner software for apple computers are HORRIBLE. If she burned a cd and then didn't check it and went to use it on a PC, nothing would show up. Making it seem like it didn't burn anything. However, if she'd put it back into the mac computer the cd would work fine.

This is because mac's internal burning software only writes mac OS DATA cds. If it were an audio cd it should work on a PC and all other devices.

Anyway, like I said, Apple's burner software is shit, so my suggestion to you and her would be to download a program called Roxio Toast Titanium. You'll need a serial number (sorry it's not free, so if you have morals, it's not for you! Hopefully you're friend doesn't have any morals!!)

Yeah, so once she has that installed, it should read any cd if the normal mac software isn't reading them. The best thing about this program is you can also choose to write both MAC and PC hybrid CDS, so that they'll be useable on both systems and won't show up blank on a pc like if you were to use the normal internal burner software. The only thing about that is, when you insert a new cd, try to have TOAST already open, or else a pop up window will show up asking you to name/prepare the cd, which is the internal burner software that does this.

But, since I don't know if it's reading the cds at all, then you don't have to worry about that window popping up!!!

Hey, I just figured out what I meant to say after all that rambling.

Just get Toast!

QUESTION!!!!!

ok, so i have been having this pop up ad problem for a while now, and i have been trying to figure out what is causing it. I run ad aware all the time and I go to add/remove programs and look at that, and i removed a few obviously pop up ad programs...but i still have those bastards.

there is one suspicious program on my puter and i don't know if i should uninstall it or not... it is called "MS T-MEDIA DISPLAY" ....what do you folks think that is??

wait...there's one more. "Phandler"

what are these things?
