Exactly. I'd be afraid that I'd try to say something, and one of them would respond with a "get away, kid...you're botherin' me!" sort of thing, and I'd, of course, be heartbroken.

You guys paint them as being pretty approachable, though, so that's good. I just hope that any future success or growth (larger crowds, larger venues, greater airplay) doesn't go to their heads and change them or make the kind of interaction you're suggesting impossible.

I met the band 3x and got to see a soundcheck and listen to mike turner tell me stories. I loved meeting the band and I didnt have any problems approaching them. Yeah I was nervous but I was there for a reason and I wasnt just gonna look at them and leave, I chatted it up and really glad I didnt act scared. I was in VIP with them once and watched Jero and Raine nearly get into an arguement over something I said.

I was at a show 2 days earlier where I hung out with Mike and Jaime for an hour before the show and watched soundcheck. Went to another show and was in vip with the guys and anyway, I was chatting it up with Mike again and Raine and Jeremy walked over and I asked Jeremy why he didnt come out at the MTSU show, and Raine piped up and said "Jeremy never comes OUT" with this evil little grin like he was implying Jeremy was gay and you could see the flames coming out of Jeremy's ears and how that pissed him off. He wanted to say something back, you could just see it all over his face but he just gave Raine a dirty look and walked off, and Raine just sat there giggling and Mike just smiled and said "Now where were we?" haha like nothing ever happened.

So, Raine is a guy after all, and not just some superhuman singing machine.

I'd think they'd like that too. One of the other guys at the meet and greet played guitar and asked if he could play on Raine's guitar and he helped him with Superman's Dead and other songs. They seemed to be enjoying it.

Yes, the guys are very much human, especially Raine. Everytime but the time Raine was puking in the hallway (( I just sat on the stage and listened to Unkie Mike tell me stories about nearly loosing a finger and such)), Raine has always been really chatty with me. When he hears my southern accent, he always talks to me more and asks me questions and really listens to what I am saying. I think he has a thing for southern girls or their accents at least. 8-)

So yeah, don't be afraid to approach the guys. They look at you funnier if you just sit there staring at them. Ive seen the guys face when a fan wont approach them and just stands back and stares at them. They leave haha So I'm not bashful, I just walk straight up and introduce myself. Mike and Duncan always remember me, to the others its like I am a new person again haha But I dont blame them. They meet tons of people all the time!! Mike just has a memory like a filing cabinet!

Wow, you're lucky. I really don't know what I'd say after I would introduce myself. I'd probably freeze up and look like a loser.
