chris and jag have always been the main creative force behind IME
(from what i heard, edwin wanted to write and shit and they said no. he left)
raine is the main creative force behind OLP
(in this case im basing it on the current situation with him doing most of the lyrics historically)
it doesnt work the same way in this case

yeah i spose, but Mike also used to play a very big part, not as big as Jag and Chris do in IME. But it wasn't like he was small beans

I never met him. I never saw OLP with Chris. Kept missing them when ever they came through(NYC) in 95. They didn't come back till 97. I only know 3 fans who saw OLP back then. Matt from Seattle(who use to live in Conn, but he never met him) and Erika, and Shirl( who never met him either)

I think he left because they always wanted Duncan, but Duncan wanted to finish school. I guess after he finished school he decided to join. I don't know how they got rid of Chris. I do know that Duncan was in the studio when Naveed was recorded. He told me he was there with Raine and Arnold. Plus he is in the Starseed video.

BTW, I think Naveed has a kick ass bass throughout. I never forget that CHris is a big part of that sound. Duncan only perfected it, but so many people forget that he came up with alot of the bass lines on naveed.

I think Chris went on to work in Graphic Arts from what someone posted a few years ago.

you never knew that. I am surprised. You are up on these things. I see that as a triva question.

What OLP video does Duncan first appear in?. Alot of people will say Superman's Dead. Not realizing he appears in Starseed(not playing though).

You've got to be joking, right? IME is total garbage compared to Dig and S&F. Edwins solo songs have the depth of a kiddie pool. Both [arties went on to make worse and worse music. [For the record I still listen to new Edwin for the music side, but the lyrics are atrocious, and the new guy in IME, Bryan, completely raped their sound, especially live.]

I do agree with you that Edwins new stuff isn't deep or anything...that's why he didn't write lyrics in IME. But it's still greta just to turn on and rock to. As for the new stuff from IME, It's WAY deeper, less guitar oriented but still great. It's all just a matter of opinion on Brian's voice. And as for Brian's live show....well.....i'm sorry but he sounds just as good as the CD, better then Edwin or even Raine hold up in most cases. They both have some hit and miss, they either were amazing, or.....meh

Bumpity bump bump.

I was just talking with someone on facebook regarding what Mike and Jeremy have done since leaving OLP, and wasn't sure what Chris had been up to since then.

Well this explains it

That's a great update! Sounds like he's doing well. Good for him. No shame in having a successful career and life, while being able to say that you toured with a successful band and put out a successful album.

Not many live recordings with Chris in the band. Love the videos from molson amphitheater back in '95
