And I personally feel that the Beatles are over rated. They have some good songs, but there have been bands out that have made just overall better songs than the beatles. Though, no band will ever be called better than The Beatles, at least not until every person living through the 60's-70's is long gone. The beatles just did something new. That is the only reason they are looked upon so highly. I may get heavily beaten for saying this, but I feel that:

I agree with this. People always say U2 is overrated, and I give almost the same argument. All I can say is, it's a matter of personal opinion, but I'd rather listen to U2 over The Beatles anyday. I appreciate what they did, but it's just like Elvis and Nirvana, they aren't my favs. *shrugs*

The Beatles are lower than rat semen.......U2 rules all. And Jim, if the Beatles are THE BEATLES, how come Mariah Carey has sold more albums??

J-Neli wrote:How can you even compare the two? The Beatles are THE BEATLES, the greatest band to ever live. You might not personally like them but you have to admit that what they did has never been repeated. There's no way U2 even compares to them. There really isn't a band that could hold a light to them.

Yeah, I really couldn't find an OLP song that fit Oasis' vocals. Liams voice is very unique and I don't think he could hit the high notes like raine can. However there may be a song that Noel could sing, but I really couldn't find an OLP song that would fit him.

But now that I think of it, I bet Noel could sing Thief

so how about Slide Away (acoustic) into ---> Thief.

OLP + Counting Crows + Graham Colton + Angie Aparo = mind-blowing
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

All you need is a big ass stage, and you're set.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.
