Life Video

Post by Axtech »

I just watched the Life video (with this in mind) and I can't help but think about how depressing it must have been to film this. As we found out on the DVD (for those who didn't know), this was filmed the day before Duncan went in for surgery for what was suspected to be a tumor. As Jer said, they didn't know if Duncan was going to make it through the operation. And here they are making a music video.

I don't think I can watch this video without feeling a little depressed now. Which is odd since it's such a light song...

And though the hum and sway gets me down

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

How is it complicated? Why bring it up if you can't say what it is?

yeah, i remember reading an article on chartattack or canoe about duncan's surgery when it happened... it was really sad knowing that it could have been his last day with the band... forget that, his life. At least they found out it wasn't a tumor and duncan's ok :)

Interesting... I feel the exact opposite when I watch.

Duncan got through it... if he didn't, it might be unbearable.

Wasn't this old news? oh well...

Anyways it's odd that everyone loves this song, but hates Innocent. If you ask me, this song paved the way for Innocent's existence, and really Gravity's existence.

I've almost reached a point where I think Mike Turner was a smart man for getting out when he did. Very smart man indeed.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.
