DVD Problems

Post by Candy-coated Fake »

Does anyone else's DVD skip almost the entire Birdman track? I'm wondering if it's just a faulty disk or if the actual DVD is screwed up (programmed wrong).

Don't bother exchanging!

It's your DVD player. I had the same problem, and took mine back. I had them test the new one at the store, and it worked fine. So, I brought it home and tried it. It didn't work. I then tried playing it in my PS2, and it worked fine.

So, apparently this is a problem with some DVD players. Mine is a JVC.

Hey Ax!

I was actually wondering that... my DVD player actually had trouble loading the DVD in general the first time I put it in. I'm gonna try it in my PS2 later.

What type of DVD players does everyone have (those that have the error)?

Mine works like a charm in my PS2.

My DVD player is a P.O.S. Emerson one I picked up for about $60. It works fine for playin' movies :).

When I play it on my dvd player it skips at the beginning of Birdman, though it's not a big problem. But when I tried it in my ps2, it worked absolutely fine.

I thought this was just happening to me! I pretty much freaked out 'cause I thought I couldn't watch the rest of it but then I just went to the next scene and "Clumsy" was perfectly fine. Still bummed out that I couldn't see the "The Birdman", but I fooled around with the remote and press the FF button a couple of times and it played the rest of the DVD without any problems. :)

BTW, my DVD player is Pioneer.

I had a problem with it as well, but it was that the sound is off for the last few songs, it starts at clumsy and is behind the footage for the rest of the video, i tried stopping and playing it over and over again, it sucks :(

A friend of mine had this problem. He simply said that his DVD player wasn't working so well, anyway, so he put it in his computer, and it worked fine. I think he's got a Panasonic, or Sony or something. Something common, that's all I know.
