did you ask her yet?

Whenever death may surprise us,
let it be welcome
if our battle cry has reached even one receptive ear
and another hand reaches out to take up our arms.
Nobody's gonna miss me, no tears will fall, no ones gonna weap, when i hit that road.
my boots are broken my brain is sore, fer keepin' up with thier little world, i got a heavy load.
gonna leave 'em all just like before, i'm big city bound, your always 17 in your hometown
let it be welcome

and another hand reaches out to take up our arms.

That's the book that the movie Field of Dreams is based on. They changed a few things for the movie (like J.D. Salinger to Terence Mann), but I like both the book and the film.
Hey, you visited my Xanga, right? Welcome to the CM.
Yeah, out-of-state costs are hellish at Michigan.

And I'll never be able to quit my job.
Somehow, I just got offered the full-time position that will be opened at work after Christmas. I mean, it will be good, I will be getting at least 32 hours a week and will get a raise and all, but come on. They overuse me at work, and it blows. I am like the person they fall on when they need someone to cover hours. It's fucking rough.
Then on top of that, I talked to one of my nine bosses today. He told me the big bosses were having a meeting about naming the "future selling star" of the store. Well, my name came up in the meeting, and everyone was in agreance. So that means at my Saturday morning meeting, I will be receiving some special prize from the store, which could be anything from like a new MP3 player to a new TV, or just money. Well, I am pretty sure I got the award, condisering everyone thinks so highly of me there for some reason. I like succeeding, I really do.
I dunno, I am gonna keep the job, but they're wearing me out.

I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I don't understand it though. Everyone that has spoken to me on here clearly knows I am not a people person, and quite frankly, hate everyone, and yet, I am Mr. Likable at work or something. Maybe people just feel sorry for me.

No way. See, that's how it works. You turn into an anti-social, people-hating, cynical asshole, and suddenly you're honest and have a great sense of humor. People who know you at work probably only see the lightest side of that, and therefore you're funny.
That's how it works for me anyway. People think I'm great until they get to know me. Haha.

That I did. The Xanga cult is hardcore at my school. So hardcore, that this club called FACS (filipino american culture society) that I'm a member of does performances and in one of our performances we're like, "Hey did you read my Xanga?!?!" Haha. Sorry. I tell a lot of random stories.
