DVD @ Amazon.ca???

I read on Rich and Shelley's site that people from outside of Canada could order the DVD from amazon.ca Am I missing something or is it not there? If it is there, could someone please post the exact URL? Thanks!

The olp newsletter said the same thing, it's just not there yet .... spend over $39 at Amazon and you get free shipping though

I really can't complain though, it will get me the DVD a whole lot faster and I've taken advantage of the free shipping from Amazon.com (not .ca) many times and that's only $25 that you have to spend...obviously $25 US though, so it's probably about the same.

Not only do not release the dvd over here, I can't even order it because it's region 1 and my dvd player doesn't play those. I really don't understand why they didn't make it a region free dvd. :evil:

And, yeah, I don't understand why ALL dvds aren't just region free, to tell you the truth... maybe they're more expensive to produce? I dunno, regardless, it's frustrating.

The reason they came up with region codes is because dvd's (and cd's too btw) are ridiculously more expensive in europe and they didn't want everybody to buy or order things from the US because that would mean the european stores would lose income. Makes sense, although it's unfair and they should just lower the prices. But it doesn't make sense to encode a dvd that isn't even available over here.

there is absolutely no reason to make this region 1 only since it'll never get a region 2 release.

And even for people with multi region players amazon.ca's shipping is total crap. hmv.ca used to be able to post me a CD and it would take about 10 days for maybe $5. Stupid amazon wants $7 for surface shipping which takes 6 to 8 weeks so it wouldn't even arrive in time for Christmas. Then it you want it sooner than that you have to pay more. :evil:

sooszy if you wanted to ship it to me and i will send it out to you. I think it took 1 week the last time I sent you something. BTW. I am sending out to you this week somethings I had for you, but never got around to sending.

that is if they ship to the USA> I had to have mine ship to afriend in Canada for them to send me. This was before I saw some places will ship to the USA. too bad it wasn't out last week when I was in Canada.
