i too thought AAF was a bunch of losers, you know the type that just do songs about dumb stuff, but after listening to the album i was pleasently surprised, it's actually very good, i just saw smooth criminal and wrote them off as anouther Blink 182 type band
"How can we justify spending so much on destruction and so little on life?" Matthew Good

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911

"Pray for the sheep" Matt Good
"But it's alright, take the world and make it yours again" Matt Good

I felt it in the wind, and i saw it in the sky, i thought it was the end, i thought it was the 4th of July.

"Hold on, hold on children, your mother and father are leaving, hold on, hold on children your best freind's parents are leaving, leaving,.......*AHHH*! " - Death From Above - Black History Month

stfu....

They actually made a Michael Jackson song DECENT, and that would normally take a lot. Its all that took for the song "movies" to actually become a favorite. I was a fan of that song when they FIRST released it, before smooth criminal.

The new one...."These Days", is kick ass. I already have the new album and its off the chain.

How come people keep leaving their bands?!!?
Maybe its me, but this seems to be happening a lot lately.

I like the original of that song... :freak: and not to be all defending-Michael-Jacksonish but you can't say none of his songs were decent if his album is still the best selling one in the world :P

AAF? Why did I not see this thread before?!

*calming down*

Their new album is amazing, and the DVD is amusing as well.

The music video for "These Days" (god i love that song) was totally genuine. Which is why it kicks so much ass. And listening to their music (the new album especially) made me realize that they're obviously in this for the music, because all the tracks are so different from one another. A massive percentage of bands out there stick to one music type ... and then they release their CD and you buy it and after a few listens it gets annoying because each song sounds exactly the same as the next. The drumming patterns get so freakin repetitive....

Thank god for bands like AAF.

completely honestly, though terry was a very kickass guitar player, he's probably the only member of the band that they could go on without, but guitars lines such as that of 'attitude' will never be re-emulated, . . . so basically what i'm saying is . . . well I'm not sure . . . but the point is . . . well i forget that too . . . :(

i think they could go on without their drummer. definitely not dryden or tye...they are both amazing and make that band. terry was awesome though!! their guitar will never be the same now. their sound is totally changed.

the drummer is totally awesome tho and very distinctive if you ask me, but then again drummers are a dime a dozen, but yeah tye and dryden are totally the core.
