one time the cleaning ladies didn't show up for like a week and a half.
Me: where the hell are those cleaning ladies?
Roomate: i dunno, they haven't been around.
Me: they're slacking off!
RM: dude......they've left us here......to wallow in our own filth.
Me: you know we could just clean up ourselves.
RM: great, just great......now i have to clean my room as well as work, and go to school.
Me: wait a minute.......check the porno bin.
RM: ok. *puts on rubber gloves and opens drawer* DUDE.........IT'S GONE!
Me: those filthy, filthy cleaning ladies.....they've stolen donald's porn and left us high and dry. those cunning cleaning ladies!
then i remembered that as soon as we left the porn on for them to watch, i gave it back to donald.

Whenever death may surprise us,
let it be welcome
if our battle cry has reached even one receptive ear
and another hand reaches out to take up our arms.
Nobody's gonna miss me, no tears will fall, no ones gonna weap, when i hit that road.
my boots are broken my brain is sore, fer keepin' up with thier little world, i got a heavy load.
gonna leave 'em all just like before, i'm big city bound, your always 17 in your hometown

suitcase livin' is the only way to go.
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.
