Nah, it's only about a half hour away. Not a biggie for someone accustomed to the drive. It is at Bricks, right?

I think you need to post a pic so I know what you look like. :D

sorry, I didn't read that until today! hot hot heat was fun, but they played the shortest set in history. Ima Robot was the best part. The French Kicks were pretty good, but the sound was screwed up and i could barely hear the vocals. I'm going to leave for dashboard confessional in about an hour.

So how was the concert? Highlights etc. Did Brand New play mostly new or old stuff?

Mostly new, two old, as far as I could tell. I only knew Jude Law and a Semester Abroad. The opened with SIC Transit and Glory Fades. Their titles are freaking weird dude. I really like them alot, even though I was concentrating on not dying.

Vendetta Red=blah. I didn't like them much at all. That guy can scream though. He came out w/ MXPX, and I'm not sure, but I think they did a cover of a Van Halen song, and he sounded just like him.

MXPX=suck. Hate them. Chic Magnet...Responsibility. Irritating.

Dashboard was really awesome. I don't care what anyone says about them selling out, all three times I've seen him (and them), it's been amazing no matter what they do. Even though I lost my spot *sob* everything was great. Chris had a great time with the crowd, he talked alot but his mic wasn't working. He said some stuff about Salt Lake guys being lucky cause we have hot girls. Pfft. Yeah, no hot guys though,. He played Best Deceptions acoustic and they covered Teenage Dirtbag. That was really quite fun. I got the setlist, I will scan it later and upload my pictures from X96. He is so tiny! I think I might be able to just pick him up and put him in my pocket. At x96 the place where the djs are is basically just a glass box. So were were all around it, and the stupid girls next to me were holding signs about hot he was, he looked so embarassed, lol. But I got some good pics of that. No concert pics or pics of me w/ him cause Marcos lost the camera. I feel bad for him though, cause I was really mad and he looked like he was going to cry. At the X96 thing he played Carry This Picture for Luck and Hands Down. Heard them both twice yesterday, but who can complain?

I thought the crowd at Dashboard Confessional was extremely irritating. All i could think the whole time was "I can't believe this...there was only like 200 people there when I saw Dashboard Confessional the first time 2 years ago." I felt like a grandpa or something, it was lame. it would have been okay, except most of the girls there were all CHRIS IS HOTT@#$#()*%#)%$(*#$)% and i wanted to hit them in the heads.
they were all wearins shirts that they made that said stuff like "blah blah blah i love dashboard confessional"
other than that i had a jolly time.
Oh yeah and I met Chris a year ago after I saw them last october and he called me "sweetheart." i should have made a shirt that said THAT! HAH!
okay. i'm done being a prick.

What show was it that you saw them at? When they opened for Saves the Day at Bricks?

All I know is if I get up front for Dashboard and anyone screams about the hotness of Chris Carrabba, I will face punch. I don't care if it's a girl. Hell, I would prefer if it were a 14 year old girl, it will knock some sense into the little slut that helped make good music a fucking trend.

And I swear to all that is holy, if people mosh during DC, I will just turn around, punch everyone in the face that's jumping around, and leave the venue and go see Hot Hot Heat. I am prepared to not put up with any emo girl shit. I am not in that kind of mood. 14 year olds and concerts don't mix well. Hang your black-rimmed glasses, Good Charlotte shirt, black lipstick, and Hot Topic bondage pants up and go back to a different trend....sluts.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I almost died when people were moshing. It wasn't too bad though, I've never been to a concert where there wasn't at least THAT much.

Are you saying you don't like my glasses? I'm hurt Alan, really, I am.

Hot Topic poser bitches = thumbs down

Lip piercings don't make you hardcore, punk, or emo. They make you look gay if you listen to what MTV tells you.

Well, I honestly never bothered to listen to Piebald. I've only heard good things about them. My indie elitist friends like them, and for them to actually admit to liking a band is a rare thing, because the only thing that comes out of their mouths are half-assed attempts are sarcasm about how a band is just ripping off another band from 1981 than no one listened to. Fuck.

 I love my friend that does that. It's fun to talk about music with her. She loves my Creed cds. Hahahahaha.

Well of cousre there was moshing to MXPX, but there was moshing to Dash too. There was this black chic that was being really quite mean and bashing into me. I can't figure out why. Most people were good.

I SAW that girl. It was disturbing.

I've seen Dashboard Confessional too many times to remember, seriously. But the time when I met Chris was October 25 2001. No, it wasn't with Saves the Day. I can't really remember who it was with...some boring bands like Hey Mercedes, I think. Anyway...yeah, my friends and I waited by the tour bus, and there was only about 15 people out there! Can you imagine how many people probably tried to wait at the Salt-Air show? Egads!

Oh yeah. Saves the Day was five days later, on october 30, 2002. I went to that also and I actually remember the other bands : kind of like spitting, ash, and Saturday looks good to me. :)

Yeah I was gonna wait by the buses, but then I saw those same shirtless girls there, so I thought, fuck that! To top it off, that girl kept jumping up and down. THAT was the most disturbing part. I would just love to be smashed against her in the pit  I'll bet the guys loved that.

I heard a Dashboard Confessional song when I was listening to the Edge at work today and I really liked it. Does anyone have any idea what it might have been? (yes, I know that's kind of a long shot, but suggestions would be ok then I could try downloading stuff when I finally get broadband in a fortnight :D)
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

Neither am I. I am looking for someone to buy my floor tickets. I am failing at finding someone.
