i've sprained my ankle a bunch of times, mostly when i was younger. when i was about 4 years old, i cracked my head open and had to get staples in my head. and i have this recurring knee pain/injury thing. i have no clue how it happened. it just started hurting one day. i went to physiotherapy for 6 months and the pain went away. the pain came back about a year after, but there was no way in hell i was going back to physiotherapy. i hated it.

edit: oh yea, one time when i was in grade 6, i got kicked in the face by this huge guy wearing construction boots and i had the hugest black eye. they thought my cheek bone was broken, but i wasn't allowed to get any xrays because i already had a bunch of xrays that month becuase i had pneumonia. heh, i guess they didn't want me to go all radioactive.

hmm...

when i was about a year and a half i fell out of this little rocking chair thing i had and split my face open right on my left eyebrow. my mom took me to a cosmetic surgeon to get the stitches done but that really didn't help much since to this day my eybrow is still all freakish looking.

I fell out of a tree and broke my arm when I was 8 or so. And when I was about 2 or 3, I brushed past a rosebush and to this day I still have a scar on my cheek.. That's about as serious as it gets.

When I was in 8th grade, I was playing basketball, went up for the layup...and came down on a girl's foot. CRACK CRACK, I split the end of the growth plate in my right ankle and sprained it really bad. Still hurts to this day.

Other than that, I have been pretty strong. This isn't really an injury...but it's kind of sad/tragic. When I was (I will have to check on this age for sure) almost two, I got into my aunts pregnancy vitamins and ate the whole bottle while my granparents were tending. Had to have my stomach pumped twice. I would probably be dead, cause my parents said that I looked so peaceful and they didn't want to take me to the hospital cause I was asleep.

- Fractured right wrist.
- Sprained right wrist.
- Fractured right wrist (no surprise).
- Sprained left wrist.
- 6 stitches in my knee from slipping on some ice and landing smack down on a pointy rock.

That's about it, I think.

These injuries were long before that started. :P

I fractured my wrist the first time when walking backwards on my driveway (I was a little kid).

I sprained it the next winter when I fell on some ice.

I fractured it the second time when some asshole pushed me down an icey hill in public school (grade 4? or 6? I forget). That was a different winter.

Then, on the SAME DAY that I fractured it that time, I slipped on some ice on the way home, and used my left hand to break my fall. Bad move (though I think using my right would have been worse lol). My dad looked like a frigging child beater when he brought me in for a second injury in the same day.

ancles injuries, all over the place. never got any treatment for them. a few sprains, and a suspected torn ligament or two. i went to get x-rays cause it swelled up big time, and they were like, no it's not broken, but we think there's a tear in there somewhere. i just said, thanks, i'm on my way out. limped around school for like three months.

my sophomore year i was playing football and in pursuit of the ball i got chop blocked. as i was falling down one of my players was on his hands and knees right in front of me, and my upper body landed on him as the rest landed on the ground, so i was bent backwards like a freaking bow. hurt like hell, in fact sometimes if i laydown in a certain way i'll get pains.

then my senior year i got rolled under from behind during a game and got a high ancle sprain. i never let it heal, kept playing on it. didn;t go away until our bye week. and by then i had a deep bruise in my thigh that would hurt when i kicked the damn ball. (i was a kicker on the team too)
Whenever death may surprise us,
let it be welcome
if our battle cry has reached even one receptive ear
and another hand reaches out to take up our arms.

Nobody's gonna miss me, no tears will fall, no ones gonna weap, when i hit that road.
my boots are broken my brain is sore, fer keepin' up with thier little world, i got a heavy load.
gonna leave 'em all just like before, i'm big city bound, your always 17 in your hometown

Hmm, let's see...

~ in 3rd grade, my foot got caught under a moving fence, and I dislocated and crushed some "minor" bones to bits, and, since it was in Argentina, my parents just took me to an old soccer doctor, and everything was relatively fine. My doctor here in Vancouver says my ankle is just simply "vulnerable" to injury.

~ about 2 years ago, I slammed into a wall and fractured my right middle finger (and I still laugh at the thought of fingering the x-ray machine)

~ sprained my wrist ice skating when I was in 4th or 5th grade, during a "field trip" to the RecCenter. (It was only 2 blocks away... cheap elementary school bastards.)

~ Last December, I tore out a ligament in my knee (the ACL, whatever that stands for), because a basketball bounced off the wall and slammed me in the back of my leg. I need surgery for that later this year.

And that's pretty much it.
"if the nuremberg trials were applied to us foreign policy, every us president since 1945 would have been hanged." noam chomsky.

...and this is me hanging on / i'd burn our initials in the sun if it would shine / anxiety chokes me like razor wire / if hate's in your heart man, you'll take what you're given / wake up / i'm not the only one / it's never goodbye / go ahead and play dead / if everyone's a casualty, then take your time, there ain't no trouble / these wounds they will not heal / ambition can be a tricky thing / what the hell do i know about rape anyway? / this is not what i hoped for / ain't it so weird how it makes you a weapon / who will be there to tell me how stupid i am? / those living for death will die by their own hand / and it's me that I am spying on / pick up the pieces and live with the stars / hurry up and wait / things have never been so swell / they're always the ones who slowly drift / be great / ...and this is my world.

I fell off the high chair as a kid and hit a table... at least 8 stitches.
Massively tore my left leg muscle...to this day its quite inflexible. (That was so unbelievably painful.. I seriously thought that I had flesh-eating disease...it certainly felt like my leg was being eaten up...)

Anyways, some of my friend's injuries are much more exciting..take for example:

A classmate of mine who went ice skating..fell..and had his index finger run over by an ice skate...luckily nothing permanent occured, but there was quite a lot of blood, stitches, and he lost the nail..

Another one, in grade 4 we were having a water gun birthday party in my friend's backyard. There was a kiddy slide there, and he decided to climb up onto it. Well it didnt hold his weight, and the slide (it was plastic) cracked in half and his leg fell through......it tore a 1 foot gash in his leg, which was at least an inch deep ....man, I could see the fat and the muscle and everything... (funny thing is that he didnt feel any pain and didnt notice anything until some girl was like screaming at him "look at your leg!!")
