I was just thinking that if this thing had been made in 1998, olp would have been easily top ten or even top five. These groups and artists like Avril, and Nickelback have NOT shown anywhere enough staying power to be included in this list.

as for Nickelback and Avril, sure they're huge now, but IME with Edwin was also HUGE. One More Astronought was a huge hit, they lasted for a good few years (untill olp came along) so saying avril or NB are is kinda jumping the gun.

PS i relize i talk about IME alot but hey! It's true!

"Pray for the sheep" Matt Good
"But it's alright, take the world and make it yours again" Matt Good

I felt it in the wind, and i saw it in the sky, i thought it was the end, i thought it was the 4th of July.

You guys realise that MuchMore is like adult contemporary right? I'm not thinking they were big on songs like Naveed and SD. Probably more like the 4ams and SOTs.

If this was Much's list it may be a different story. But I do agree about it not being right to add flavours of the moment in the list. But then again isn't that what these lists are all about?

I saw Hope on MMM when I was in Toronto.

And can I third what was said before about Avril > Neil Young being total utter rubbish.
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

yeahi was wondering to, but remeber this list has to do alot with popularity and american Sucess, so that would probably leave most of Matthew's stuff of the list

Thats where i get all mixed up... top three for me:

1. OLP
2. Matt Good
3. Tragically hip

I know that olp and matt good would never place ahead of the hip, but in my mind, thats how it should of been

But back on the subject, I am not surpried at all Good isn't on the list, i do not llive in Canada, but i believe i am the only single living soul in America who has ever been blessed to hear the sweet sounds of Matthew Good (Band)

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.
