I'm Skipping Church Tonite To Watch "Angel"

Post by trentm32 »

Ayite, I'm skipping church tonite to catch the season premiere of "Angel". My church's service was cancelled for a district meeting, but we're all supposed to go to that other church where that's being held; cuz they're having service there. My question is: am I going to Hell for skipping church to watch "Angel"; or am I in the clear because MY churh wasn't having service?

For the rest of the season I'll have a working VCR to tape it; but mine's broken for the moment, so I can't tape it.

Plus, anyone else watching this tonite? It's gonna be rock 'em sock 'em. 8-)
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

Angel starts tonight?! 8O

I suppose I shall have to watch. I'm more of a Buffy fan... but since there's no new Buffy to look forward to, this'll have to do.

Sorry I didn't actually answer your question. :P

You're going to hell.

Whenever death may surprise us,
let it be welcome
if our battle cry has reached even one receptive ear
and another hand reaches out to take up our arms.

Nobody's gonna miss me, no tears will fall, no ones gonna weap, when i hit that road.
my boots are broken my brain is sore, fer keepin' up with thier little world, i got a heavy load.
gonna leave 'em all just like before, i'm big city bound, your always 17 in your hometown

What the hell is Angel?
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.
