I have just lost all the respect i had for much music. This list is truly disgusting.

Tragically Hip, Niel Young, and ofcourse OLP should have without a doubt all been in atleast the top 10, if not top 5.

Avril Lavigne does not deserve to even be on the list. The past 20 years of music at thier hands, and they're trying to tell us that Avril Lavigne is the 6th best? WTF is wrong with them? Seriously. It disgusts me to no extent. May they all burn terrible deaths for this monstrosity.

They're going by popularity. It's sickening.

if it was by popularity, celine dion would NOT be first.

i agree with everyone, OLP definately should've been higher.
you have to, you just have to trust me

This list is as bad as theRolling Stone magazine top 100 guitarist of Rock ever. That list didn't have on SLASH. How the hell can you have a list of great guitar players in Rock and not put SLASH-plus people like Jack White ahead of Les Paul etc.

this list is probably based on ALbum Sales, Video airplay etc.

I can't see how Nelly Furtato and Nickelback is ahead of OLP, but that is just how things go. I don't think this was voted by fans, but probably people who work at the station etc. Then again what do I know.

I also agree with SAND-although I do not like RUSH, how could you not list them. They were big down here in thestates.

My top 10...

I'm not going by my favourite or by popularity, just who is more deserving and changed the music scene in Canada...

The Tragically Hip
Neil Young
Our Lady Peace
Celine Dion
Rush (who wasn't even on the list :wtf: )
Alanis Morisette
Shania Twain
Bryan Adams
Barenaked Ladies
Sarah McLaughlin

Some artists on the list just haven't proven themselves to be longlasting stars like these groups or singers have... like Nelly, Nickleback, Avril etc... 10 years from now, if there as big as they are now, then I would have no problem seeing them on the list.

Umm, not to piss you off here or anything, but Jack White is an absolutely amazing guitarist. I haven't heard anyone play a guitar like that in decades. Decades. On top of that, most of those amazing guitarists played on good guitars with good pedals and effects and shit. Jack White plays on a $100 guitar he buys from a Sears catalog. That's a piece of shit. They're worse quality than a Squire. They are flat out bad sounding, and he produces the most amazing sounds from it. That is just amazing.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I agree, Jack is an amazing guitarist- he has a real classic rock kinda guitar sound to him.... but her whole point was that Jack was ahead of Les Pauls. Nothing against Jack, but he's no Les Paul.

Still there is no way in Hell Jack WHite should be higher then Les Paul. I mean half the people on that list played a Les Paul at one time or another.

Rush is from the 70's, 80's, 90's and is still making new music... didn't they come out with a record earlier this year?
