I heard life yesterday on the radio. first time in a while. i think thats the only pre-gravity song ive ever heard on the radio. though i have this wierd memory of singing along to one man army in the car a long time ago, so i guess they played that too...

I heard Theif in a mall when I was just getting into OLP, and when I realized what it was I was pretty pleased. I've also heard The Wonderful Future in a Pet Value and Somewhere Out There at a glow-in-the-dark mini golf place(That made my day).
"We're all in the gutter, but some of us look up to the stars, and you can be happy in the gutter if you don't know to look up. So the people who can become addicted and driven and sort of obsessed by music are the ones who look up and see the heights they can try to get to. But that drive never lets them be happy where they are" - Mike Turner

I have only heard OLP on the radio twice, and it was Somewhere Out There each time.

I work at the Crayola Store in Easton, PA, and my friend and I (both OLP nuts), occasionally try to sneak one of their albums over the stereo system in there. We have to watch though, because 3 of the 4 managers will remove it for not being kiddy enough and we'll get in trouble :P

I am not a big fan of constantly happy cheerleading preppy ppl sorry to anyone i just insulted but as I walking through a mall near the pittsburgh area i heard SOT in an Abercrombie & Fitch store.... seriously they need to be played in Best Buy or FYE, not A & F. That really scared me after just hearing them on Pittsburgh's Rock/ Metal station.... :freak:

I've heard them a while ago on the radio, mostly Is Anybody Home? That was a kind of big song in the Philly area. I've heard Somewhere Out There a lot on the radio, especially when Gravity was just released. I was playing Halo with some people on my floor that I didn't really know and they had some music playing in the background, and I heard the intro drum track to Innocent, but wasn't sure if it was it...when Raine came in I was happy to know there's another OLP fan on my floor :)

I heard OLP the other day in some store playing the radio and got all excited. Then I realized it was innocent and was dissappointed.

On the plus side I found a copy of Clumsy second hand for $9 that had been played once. It was sweet. (my old one was scratched)

That was an OLP-filled day.

When I went to the Red River Exhibition in grade 8, the guy operating the rotating swings was playing a bunch of stuff from Clumsy, I think. My friend, who knew more about OLP at that time than me :freak:, was like "Richele, they're playing OLP!" and I was like "Holy crap, that's frickin' awesome!" and I started singing along on the swings and such. At that time, I was pretty OLP illiterate.

I recall people giving me funny looks.

Was it? I know some songs from Clumsy got played a few times back in the day, and I heard "Life" on the radio a few times when that was out... and, of course, "Somewhere Out There" and "Innocent"... I'm trying to think if I remember ever hearing IAH on the radio, though... I'm assuming you're talking about Y100? I know there's a few djs there who love OLP... in fact, I remember one of them saying that OLP's their favorite band, I think.

Yeah, Nikki, I heard it on Y100 I'm sure. It was also on the Y100 sonic sessions...4? I think. It's a pretty good live version. I don't remember Innocent on the radio though...

My radio station keeps playing Right Behind You and plays Clumsy often. And I recently heard Story About a Girl in a Pizza Hut at my friend's surprise party.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it got played on Y100 a bunch... that's awesome. I love that station. Well... sometimes. They go through good and crappy periods. But, anyway, yeah, it's on Sonic Sessions Volume 4 (good guess!)... I've got all of those things... good discs.

i'm in charge of music at my school- we play songs in between classes. I always try to get some OLP in for good measure so yesterday I played Are You Sad? and Superman's Dead from the live album and everyone loved it- I had tons of people coming up to me- asking if that was available to buy... It's fun promoting OLP!

I remembered we had a thread like this, so I just dug it up and am bumping it beeeeecause...

That has now changed for both of us!

(Well, it changed for me when I bought HIPT on it's release date at Tower Records... but I think they always play all the new releases the day they come out so that wasn't really anything random or exciting. Well, it was... but still...)

Anyway... we went to the mall today, walked into the juniors section of Strawbridges (department store)... and a few seconds later, I hear the drum beats to "Innocent" and just look at Melissa and say (quite loudly ) "NO WAY. 8O"

 That totally made my day.
