Why because he writes over 700 songs, and only 10-20 are actually worth listening too?

I personally gave a little chuckle when Zwan broke up, I do have their cd by the way. it's okay. :uh:

And 699 of those songs were good the first time I heard it as "DISARM"

Jeni, I have no idea what you meant in your post.

I never said the Smashing Pumpkins were bad, its just their best songs were easily just their singles. And I know, my two closest friends consider Billy Corgan to be a God as well. So I listen to the cd's and..meh.
Opinions, of course.

I think Jenni was saying that all of their songs sound like Disarm. That song, by the way, is fucking amazing.

I confess, I own Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness, there's no doubting that, but the rest I never invested in. There was nothing amazing to draw me into Corgan. I love his music, I was just not enough of a fan to go out and buy his stuff, except for Melancholy... because that is an amazing double cd.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

ooh, Alan I like Disarm too. And yes, Melancholy must of been damn good to sell 8 million copies!
Jeez, no-ones negative opinion about Smashing Pumpkins would be valid with that statistic.

There are a few choice songs like SOMA and MAYONAISE and a few off Melonchy etc that are decent songs, but the rest of the billy corgan collection is just filler and a repeat of everything he's done before and has now down with zwan. It just gets OLD hearing the same guitar solo and vocal pattern ALL THE DAMN TIME. I know there are people who think hes god and more power to them. I just dont and I wont change my mind.
