Neon Crossing, definitely. I never cared for it, then I saw it at Pittsburgh in '02, and it's one of my favorites now.

oh oh oh.....story of 100 aisles.
I am in love with it now, and I never really liked it before.
Don't know why though...I think it got stuck in my head one time and now I can't get enough of it.

I couldn't agree more. The ultimate one for me was Story of a 100 Aisles and All My Friends. Now they are my two favorite olp songs

I wasn't really a big fan of Are You Sad or Bring Back The SUn when I first heard them. Now I love both songs. Seeing them done live is what did it for me.

By the same token there were songs I liked/or could tolerate when I first heard them, but don't like them now. Everyone's a Junkie is the biggest one. I can't bare to hear that song anymore.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

Are You Sad - took me a while because when i heard it, i wasn't into slower songs
Bring back The Sun - didn't do too much for me until i saw it live
Car Crash - i've just started to realize the incredibleness of this song
Stealing Babies - It just didn't seem that great the first times i heard it
The Wonerful Future - it just seemed boring to me until a couple of months ago.

ok, i've been ignoring this thread not wanting to admit to myself i didn't like an olp song at one time... it's not that i didn't like the song, it's just that these songs just didn't do it for me at first...

hope (i dunno how i didn't like this song at first, i love it now... especially live)
dirty walls
shaking- bothered me at first
lying awake
consequences of laughing
middle of yesterday
sell my soul
bring back the sun (first time i heard this song, it just sounded out of tune, now i love it)

It's weird though, i listen to these songs over and over until they eventually become my favourites on the cd- i notice all the little things that i didn't notice at first that make the song so special

Thats one of the great things about OLP there is something new to discover all the time. I got into Supersatellite by trying to figure out what they were saying at the end.

Okay, I want to proudly say that I ..."found" The Wonderful Future.

Yay!

For so long when all these people here were talking about how great the song was I just didn't really get it. Then I was listening to is at random on the way home and I just found it amazing and I have love it ever since. What's weird is there isnt really a particular reason for me to like it now, and it didnt really grow on me. It was like I heard it for the first time or something.

Dirty Walls... i have no idea why i didn't like this song when i first heard it. I just didn't. Now I do.

Julia... What drew me back to this song? 2 words - Sarah Slean.

Story Of A Hundred Aisles... I just thought it sounded insane whenI first heard it. Then one day it got stuck in my head, and I played it over and over and over and over an over...

Middle Of Yesterday... I just hated the beginning. Actually, I hated the song. So I actually left SM for a while, then about 6 months later, I was in a car in the middle of a busy street, and the car next to me was blaring MOY, and I've loved it since then.

Sell My Soul... I first heard this, and I thought it was shit. Now I think it's actually pretty decent, and i've finally let friends play this in my presence, now. I don't know how to rephrase that so I don't look totally evil, but meh.

Hehe, no, I just looked at the driver and he looked at me, then we started laughing, and then we both sang along with the song. It was actually pretty awesome. :D
