I don't know what to think. I heard not afraid, WTSOYF, and WIC, i've only listened to the last ones a little bit, but they haven't caught my ear yet like Not Afraid has. I sing not afraia all the time now. I feel that going raw is definetly good. That way it won't sound so overproduced. I think that the songs are kind of a combo of clumsy, SM, and naveed songs... which is awesome. I really hope the cd sounds like this because it is a HUGE improvement from Gravity. I still haven't hear Talk Is Cheap though... hope its as good as the others!
WIC, to me, sounds sort of like 100 Aisles and In Repair. It has the clumsy type of guitar riffs. And it has the flow and vocals from in repair. I don't know, thats just how i felt when listening to it.
WTSOYF is very cool, I love when Raine sings 'this is waaaaAAAaaar' it just sounds awesome. The lyrics are like from 4am, not what they are about, but the way he sings them and the simplicity of them. It kind of has the feeling Starseed to me. The guitar and bass just remind me of starseed. I think i like it a little bit more than WIC
Not Afraid is really catchy. It has a chorus that reminds me of some SM songs. Kind of like MOY. It might just be because i've listened to it the most, but i like it the most out of all of them. It has some of the SM type of lyrics too. I really like when Raine sings the 'simple things' part.
So, after listening to these three songs my whole attitude had turned around. I did not think that OLP could break out of the grave they dug themselves with Gravity. But as long as Bob Rock does not screw these songs up... i'd say the album should be
