Yes, discuss the cd, why you like it or why you don't like it (and I will tell you why you're wrong), and we'll all have a merry time.

You got Goddamnit, no? The next one you should get is either the self-titled one with all their EPs on it or From Here To Infirmary. Maybe I'll Catch Fire is too inconsistant to be their best work, because you jump from epic song to decent back to epic too often. It's sad. And Good Mourning is a good cd, but it strays away from old Alkaline Trio. I just feel dirty for loving the love songs on there, even if they're written by Dan, bass Jesus, Andriano.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Well, so far, Trouble Breathing, Cop, and, As You Were have been my favorites. I gotta give it a few tries though. I think I can really dig them. I especially like his voice, it's...I donno. Cool.

Maybe I can scrape up enough for From Here to Infirmary sometime soon. Seeing as that's the only one Wal Mart has...and none of the other places have it at all. Unelss you go to the Virgin Megastore  They have it all, that damn place.

Why am I not shocked that Wal Mart doesn't carry the cd with an anti-Christian song on it. I can't fathom why they would do that.

The entire Goddamnit cd is amazing. Sorry About That (last song on cd) blows me away everytime I hear it played. Message From Kathleen (#10) has the greatest drum intro ever, not to mention it's a great song. San Francisco is probably my favorite song off that cd, by far. Lyrical masterpiece I say, lyrical masterpiece. My only complaint about the cd is that there's 12 songs on it, and Dan only got to sing two (#6 Enjoy Your Day and #10 Message From Kathleen) even though this was the time Dan wrote his best stuff. Oh well. It took me a few listens to before I fully appreciated this cd. Ahhh good times, good times.

I just wanted to point out something funny about Alkaline Trio's new cd. Media Play doesn't carry it. That's fine and all, but even though a major store like Media Play hasn't had it in stock since they released All On Black (anti-Christianity song) as a single, they still have been able to sell 100,000 copies, which is amazing for an indie label band.

i'm seeing alk3 for the second time Nov 4
it's so hard to find all their cds here and when you do find them they cost like $30. the best thing to do is buy them at their shows,
i bought From Here to Infirmary at their show for $11.
I have all their cds and Goddamnit is by far my favourite  there isn't one song on that album that isn't

Can't you just order them through some site like amazon or best buy?

go alone you will live. you are going to concerts to hear music not to talk to people. it is no big deal. if you want to see the band then go and maybe talk to people on line if you go early

i doubt i'd be allowed seeing how i'm 16 and its downtown Detroit (and in another country). but it would definitely be worth it.

Yeah...that would be a little scary in downtown Detroit. Well...I would think it is.

I'm not really a people person, but I just don't like going to things alone and looking like even more of a loser. I will do it, if push comes to shove though. My friend routinely has medical problems on days of concerts. Kinda funny though, she loses the money. I'd go if my I was bleeding from my ears rather than lose money.

Nah, the only concert venue in Detroit where you have to fear for your life is Harpo's, and that place is a haven for washed up rappers and bad metal bands. The rest of the Detroit venues are in nice places. Like the State Theatre, Fox, Majestic, and Magic Stick are all right by Comerica Park and Ford Field in the nice part of Detroit. St Andrew's Hall is right by the Greektown Casino, yet another nice part of town. You're insanely safe in these parts of Detroit. Hell, Bethany and I sat in Detroit for 8 hours waiting for an OLP show last year, and we were perfectly fine.

I guess it just comes from years of listening to my mother say "you couldn't pay me to set foot in Detroit again".

haha it's so funny. like, if you stray away from the nice part, it gets really really bad like, for Interpol we were driving around trying to find a parking spot and this bum was like, playing with himself or something on the corner of the street next to a convenience store.

most of my friends are like that, unless they know the band they won't go. But awhile ago i made a mixed cd of a bunch of the music i was listening to at the time and gave it to my friend and she feel in love with alkaline trio and went to the concert with me in April. Now she loves them. Other then her the rest of my friends suck when it comes to music.
