I'm a Weezer fan =). I don't have a username on weezer.com's boards though. I just hope that the fifth album is some old school blue or pinkerton sounding shit. I didn't like Maldroit that much.
What I felt before was wrong, I told myself all along, these familiar feelings take away the pain. And with this reason to rebel, I told you how I felt, you turned and sighed and said you couldn't feel a thing for me. And I lost another wish in all of this.

Seeing that Rivers thinks Pinkerton was a complete failure of an album, don't count on hearing anything like that in the near future. Pink Triangle and El Scorcho, how I miss you.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I love the band, but I'm not on their board.

I heard their new album is going to be completely different than anything they did before. But I just heard that from my brother, so I don't know if it's right or not.

Yes...official message boards suck ass in my experience.

Well, Pinkerton is my least favorite album....Maladroit was ok. The most fun I've ever had at a concert was Weezer though.

pinkerton has always been one of my favourite albums and it is still is. I started listening to it again and the past few weeks i've been listening to it almost everyday on the way to school. that album is insanely addictive.

it is! is sounds like they just winged the whole album... its almost like they were in the studio singing karyoke. it gives the cd so much energy.

actually, expect album 5 to be very pinkertonesque from what I hear - which is pretty informed. I'm pretty active in the weezer community and Rivers has finally started writing personal songs again rather than that contrived bullshit which is the green album and maladroit. Both good albums but not great when sized up to the 2 bad boys which are Pink and blue...

I loved Pinkerton, it's one of my all time favorite cds. I never listened to Maladroit though, I was too disappointed by Green to even bother.

I bought Pinkerton last Saturday, because I love Pink Triangle and El Scorcho. I don't really like the rest of the album, though :(

I own zero weezer album but I love several of their songs (keep fishin', say it ain't so, island in the sun, sweater song, etc.).

So if they released a greates hits album I'd buy it, but otherwise, I don't know. They have to many albums to go buy them all, I'm trying to pay for university here.
