judith (the suitemate) and i went plant shopping together and our living room now has a palm-like tree, a cactus, an aloe plant, and a chilli-pepper-esque thing in it. combine that with the batik tablecloths and a few candles and it strangely enough takes on a mexican theme. last night we were playing some mexican music judith has and sitting around with the candles lit. when people walked by in the hall we invited them to visit our mexican paradise. now all we need are a couple of sombraros on the walls and we're all set.

8O kimmy, how the hell did you get such a huge room? you have a LIVING ROOM??!! i barely have room to live...my room is 11x17 of which i get less than 1/3

yeah i opted for solin hall, it's all apartments. i really lucked out too. only one suitemate and we each have our own, decent size, rooms plus the living room with an enormously high ceiling and huge ass windows (that offer a :drool: view of the city) plus a bathroom and a kitchen with a little bar looking out into the living room. i have to say, it fucking rules.

now of course the downside to all of this is that we have to cook all of our own meals and take the metro to campus for class each day. but i honestly don't mind either of those things so there's no downside for me at all :mrgreen:

right now we're listening to jeff buckley on the room cd player (i got to put in a cd after we had to listen to jessica simpson) and my roommate goes "who is this guy...he's horrible"

i just kind of stared for a second and then i'm like "you've got to be kidding me...this guy is one of the best recording artists in history"

she says "no, definetly jessica simpson is much better"

:wtf:

pull up the carpet and throw it away.
Whenever death may surprise us,
let it be welcome
if our battle cry has reached even one receptive ear
and another hand reaches out to take up our arms.

Nobody's gonna miss me, no tears will fall, no ones gonna weap, when i hit that road.
